GLOBAL AWARENESS? More than 2,5 billion people -‐ over a third of the world’s popula9ons do not have a toilet or even a simple pit latrin and the idea of a warm or refreshing shower in the morning remains just a Fata Morgana for them. For us, lucky Europeans, it’s part of our daily comfort. At least since the first global Summit 1992, we are talking globally about climate change, water scarcity and deadly floods killing more and more people worldwide. They two different things, but the result of human mismanagement on Earth. Despite the growing emergency, everybody stays inside his own local vision: «Does it change anything for African children, if I’m taking only one

an

shower a day?» . Of course. The water I’m consuming is money. My daily water becomes very expensive in many europeans regions. By reducing my water consumpOon, I reduce also my water bill and could contribute to the new UNICEF global crowdfunding and crowdsourcing acOon called TAP. We are more than 1 billion people connected via Social Networks. Everybody is talking about the new global neOzenship enabling people to join other people’s concerns. Here is a great opportunity to become real global actors and not just followers. Let’s convert our social network into a water network. Imagine what could be done with 1 billion €?
