My first campaign targeted the people proud of the city they live in but … it was my very first try, and sadly it didn’t work. e? Do you remember your first sal What was your reaction?

I do, it was a mug, and my reaction was “If i can sell one, i can sell thousands!” Can you briefly describe your day as a «seller»?

That’s simple: I launch new ads everyday, and I’m constantly testing, testing and testing.

How to (legally) use images on social media

Today, for our copyrights and intellectual property laws feature, we bring to you some simple tips on how to use pictures on social media to sponsor your products without engaging in any kind of copyright infringement.

Keep up with the laws that each social network might apply on the use of pictures Each social network has its own policy regarding the use of images on its platform, to protect not only itself, but also the users. We strongly recommend that you carefully read these legal terms and conditions. For example on Pinterest, once you pin a picture, you automatically allow Pinterest to use, show, reproduce, re-pin, share and edit your image. On Instagram however, in order to protect the privacy and the copyright of the photographer, it is not possible to save or download images shared by other users on your own device.

Choose the image license that is right for you Why are images licences necessary? Because they protect and simplify life of people who want to use their original creations. There are many different types of licenses: for commercial purposes, those that allow editing, with reference to the author. Many licenses limit the image to personal use, and there are others that offer the possibility to edit the pictures for commercial purposes. So, before you download, edit or publish a picture on one of your social media channels, make sure that you know the kind of license that you’re dealing with.

Look for pictures on the right websites If you can’t find royalty free images, you can opt for paid ones. Istock and Fotolia are the most popular websites, but you might also find good pictures on Freepik, Pixabay, Splitshire, ISO Republic and so on.

2017 shows a remarkable E-commerce growth in Italy. According to data presented at the Netcomm Forum, online commerce in this Southern european country grew 16% in just one year and reached a value of 23.1 billion euros. An important trend to be noted is that more than a third of purchases are made today by mobile phones: 23% by smartphones. We strongly suggest to target this warm, sunny country while launching your summer campaigns. Find your successful niche and trust your marketing skills: Jobs? Family? Regional pride? Summer Trends in Graphics Go… Green! 2017 is the year we go back to our organic roots and return to the world of nature. In terms of colors, the start has been given by Pantone (as usual), who has crowned the color for 2017 as Greenery, based on it’s meaning of new beginning, freshness and environmentalism. In other words, that seems the perfect opportunity to include our new premium & organic products in your European campaigns! German customer will particularly love them!

Bright, Bold and Vibrant Colors In the past few years, many designers and marketers have used safe and easy ways to digest color schemes, in order to create clean and controlled designs. We saw many light and neutral colors like white, gray and black dominating the layouts. But in 2017 we expect bright, vibrant and bold colors. This trend started in 2016 (remember?), through a variety of design elements, but it’s expected to really pick up this year.

Pattern and geometric shapes This trend started in 2016 and it will definitely also continue in 2017. As flat design was a very welcome addendum to the graphics last year, helping to simplify the visuals and improve user experience, we expect to see it growing and expanding this year. Painterly patterns contrasted with simple typography will also bring a crafts vibe to printed media.

Minimalism For those who love simplicity and functionality given by minimalism, here is some good news. Tracing its roots back to the early part of the 20th century, and for some, even earlier, minimalism is today more popular as ever. As the intentional white space means more breathability and reduced focal points, the simple way of communication of the message through design has led to adoption of minimalism in many brand and design trends. Inspired by Scandinavian design, ultra-minimal typography and layouts will still remain cutting-edge this year, and designers who opt for this visual approach will make their product appear elegant and refined.

Modern Retro By its very definition, modern-retro has been around for a while. Modern flare added to retro designs, typefaces and color palettes makes for an interesting fusion of old and new. The key in this trend is both authenticity, as well as simplifying and modernizing any particular element that stood out from any time in the past. In terms of colors, we’ll see a shift from the muted browns and grays of 2016’s most vintage designs to candy colors. Consider using this style for your “born in…” campaigns, it will definitely work!

Motif of the year Replacing the pineapples and palm trees of last year, the motif that everyone seems to be ready for this summer is (...wait for it!) cactuses. Or cacti. Or a single cactus, infinitely repeated, everywhere you go. Anyway, the unicorn mania is still going strong and rest assured that unicorn fantasy items / slogans will definitely work!
