WORKS SELECTED FROM 2018-2020
To me, design is not only a tool but also a power. People can see all kinds of designs everywhere in the city. Different designs contain different ideas into people's consciousness. Good design gives people a comfortable and broad mind, and some design makes people distorted. I hope my design can bring peace to people and let people find their ideas while using my design.

personal studio branding
My personal studio branding design. This project including poster design/packaging design/interior design/business card design.
DESCRIPTION People living in modern cities yearn for more opportunities to get close to nature, so many people choose to go out on weekends. I hope my design can also satisfy people’s pursuit of organic things, so I set tree rings as the concept of my work. I changed the shape of the tree ring shape by hand-painting, and then I make it as the background of the design. For the design part of the text, I used a black border to make the scattered information look more integrated. At the same time, I used a diagonal method in the layout to make people who see my business card notice my name first and second is my email and phone number etc. For the color, I only used black, white and gray to enhance the seriousness I expected.
DESCRIPTION The difference with the design of business cards is that I did not continue to use borders in the design of letter paper, but added missing corners to make it looks more flexible.

DESCRIPTION This is a product introduction manual I made for my pottery work. I hope to use design as simple as possible to match the texture of handmade pottery. So I didn't give it any color, just black and white and gray, and the photo on the cover is the original state of the pottery before it was made.
DESCRIPTION As I said before, I hope that my design is natural and organic, so in this way of thinking, green must be my first choice. But I don't want the emerald green color in my design. I want to retain a strong sense of design at the same time, so I chose a low-saturation green to match with the black logo.
08
DESCRIPTION My dream has always been to set up a design studio that belongs to me. Therefore, I continue to use the same way of thinking in interior design for the studio. To make people who come here feel more connected to nature, I used a lot of green furniture with low-saturation green in the choice of wall paint.

DESCRIPTION I usually do some hand sketch before I start design in software, so I can have a general idea about the layout, color, and how the photography should look on the screen.
DESCRIPTION I want the interface design to be as simple as possible, so I put the logo on the upper left side and integrated all the other menus with a hamburger icon. The picture shooting is done in a low-saturation scene as much as possible to highlight the product itself.
DESCRIPTION As a person who often uses the iPad, I attached great importance to the experience of my application on it. Therefore, I set the shooting method of the product pictures to correspond to the size of the iPad as much as possible. I generally use a wide-angle lens to shoot these photos, so that there can be more picture information on the iPad and increase the sense of ritual experience.

DESCRIPTION Ice cream moon cakes are currently the most popular food in the Chinese community. Unlike traditional moon cakes, the new style incorporates ice-creamy food into the manufacture of moon cakes which has been widely praised by young people. Therefore, in this design, I took "icy" as the core concept, you can see that I used images with cool colors and glacier texture to highlight the "icy" characteristics of the product. At the same time, I gave up the concrete design, the technique presents the impression of moon cakes with an abstract feeling, thus narrowing the distance with young people.
18
DESCRIPTION The lights used in urban street lights and shops are often warm light. Considered that I had the solution to use cool colored posters, so in such an environment, they are more likely to be highlighted. All the flower patterns on the poster are realized by modeling software, and then rendered into the color I expect through PHOTOSHOP.
DESCRIPTION In this horizontal version of the design, I tried a variety of hierarchy, the basic idea is to let the picture and text occupy the left and right ends of the page. In addition, I use pink and cyan, which is the same color as the petals, as the background color of the text, I want it visually separate it from the picture of petals and also have similarities at the same time.
21
DESCRIPTION Unlike the vertical design, the horizontal design tends to be larger than the vertical design. Therefore, considering that when people are walking in the city, if they see this poster, they should first be attracted by the pictures, not the text. I believe that too much text can cause discomfort, especially on these large posters. So my design strategy is to lead people to look at the picture first and then the text info.
DESCRIPTION I used the tree rings that I used in my previous business card design in this design to make the black box look less monotonous. I still maintained a cool design, and used the circle to highlight the attribute of the "moon". In addition, I designed a small moon on each small box. When people put six boxes together, we will find that these little moons form a whole process of Lunar eclipse.

dunhuang museum app design
Dunhuang museum application user interface and user experience design.
The Dunhuang murals are a great relic in Chinese history. As a person who frequently visits museums, the current Dunhuang scenic spots are disappointing in the design of web pages and the design of media for social communication, not only outdated and lack of sense of design, also extremely difficult to use. So I want to fix these issues to develop an application that is not only beautiful but also easy to use, to help the Dunhuang relics to be known to the world, and to help those who want to visit more conveniently.
DESCRIPTION The direction of my design strategy is to make the application of Dunhuang relics as international as possible, so in the choice of fonts, I need a style that can be accepted by most people, so I chose Helvetica as my main design font. Regarding the color, I chose the wine red as my theme color that appears most often in the murals.
25
DESCRIPTION Before designing, I first drew each interface by hand, and then I printed them and cut them out. By putting them on the phone, I tried one by one what needs to be changed or optimized.
26
DESCRIPTION Compared to apps with payment functions, my design focuses more on display, so I need it to be as simple as possible in terms of the process. I hope users can learn about Dunhuang through this application and even gain more knowledge from the information displayed in it.
Dunhuang is located in the central and western regions of China, surrounded by deserts and extremely arid, so in terms of color, I chose mild yellow and gray as the main colors to match the environment.

DESCRIPTION In 2020, the virus swept the world, many people lost their lives and their families. However, young people lacked the necessary awareness of the virus. Therefore, I hope to design a website for tracking the latest situation of the spread of the COVID-19. The colors that I used and designed are more familiar to young people than the other website, hoping that they can understand the information they need to know through use of this website.
YANBING ZHAO I GRAPHICH DESIGN
DESCRIPTION Inside are some classic elements, including famous paintings, sculptures, and some retro signs. I hope that through this design to convey the virus is not so scary, and secondly, wearing a mask is not an unacceptable thing, people can even turn this into a fashion through thinking. To help everyone face this disaster with a more peaceful mind.
YANBING ZHAO I GRAPHICH DESIGN
DESCRIPTION What’s different from the previous design is that I also tried to use a lot of gray to highlight the warning red color to help people pay attention to the important information which is how many people has been infected by the virus in the area.

HOTPOT DELIVERY APP DESIGN As one of my favorite foods, I eat hot pot almost once a week, but the problem is that eating hot pot becomes very difficult at night or when it is not convenient to go out during the epidemic. So I thought it would be great if there is an app that can help all people who love hot pot to eat it regardless of location. At the same time, I also hope that those shops whose businesses have been affected during the epidemic will not be discouraged. We can overcome this difficulty together.

DESCRIPTION When designing the hot pot restaurant posters, I decisively continued to use the red color in the app, because most Chinese hot pots are not only spicy, but people can also see the flames looming from the bottom of the pot when they are eating. Like the design of the mooncake project, I still don't intend to use 3D hot pot images, but use more abstract graphic patterns to convey the information. In addition, I tried a variety of layout schemes, and finally, I chose an asymmetrical design scheme with the main image placed in the upper middle.
DESCRIPTION In traditional Chinese hot pot, there is a combination of half spicy and half list, which makes me think of Yin and Yang directly. So I used the concept of yin and yang in the horizontal poster design, and at the same time, I followed the color matching of warm colors, giving people a fiery and familiar feeling, and at the same time, there is no lack of novelty.
DESCRIPTION In traditional Chinese interior design, a lot of wood is used. Because wood itself is brown in the environment, and people often use red paper umbrellas and lanterns for decoration, coupled with modern lighting, the overall appearance is warm. Then the red poster design will not be inconsistent in such an environment but can become the center of vision.
DESCRIPTION Different from ordinary poster design, I did not use specific food pictures but used flat pictures instead. The intention of this is that when people walking in the city see this poster, they will first feel a kind of culture, a kind of thought, and a kind of concept, and secondly, when they get closer, they will be able to see the 2D food icon, which means they will not know what is the food is directly, but open their’s imagination to imagine it.
DESCRIPTION I hope that when people open the menu, what they see is not everything they are going to eat. I hope to make our dining experience more special through design. For example, the food introduction in the menu is abstract, so that customers can know while cooking specific ingredients, and can also open up their imagination to guess what the dishes are going to look like.
DESCRIPTION As we all know, hot pot is a traditional Chinese food, but how to achieve it through design: not only retain Chinese traditional elements but also incorporate world symbols? Make more people familiar with and easy to accept? So in this design of the menu, I continue to use collage making. I have put western elements into it like paintings, sculptures...
DESCRIPTION I put the collage I designed for the product packaging into the paper napkin. When people are waiting for a meal in a restaurant, the waiter often gives the customer tableware and water first, and then there is a long wait. I am thinking about why not guide customers to do something in this process? So I printed the pictures full of details on the napkins. On the one hand, it can let the guests understand the cultural background of the restaurant, and can also help to make the waiting less boring.
