Lake Shore CSD Community Education Evans Historical Society Display at the Evans Town Hall

You are in for a treat when you pay a visit to the Evans Town Hall! Members of the Evans Historical Society have prepared a display honoring our local Volunteer Fire Departments of Highland, North Evans, Village of Angola, Lake Erie Beach, and Evans Center. The display includes Firemen Uniforms from each of the mentioned Volunteer Fire Departments along with brigade buckets, helmets and a Fire Alarm Box that was once located on the corner of Main and Orchard in the village. In addition, there are group photos of some of the fire departments in their “early days”. We suppose they were taken after a parade or similar event. Hopefully, you can spot someone you know in the photos! Many will recall the Annual Firemen’s Day events held during the summer months of yesteryears – complete with rides, games of chance, beer tents, pull tabs, and the like. Plan a visit to the Town Hall sometime soon. The Historical display will be up for several more weeks – Reminisce and Enjoy!!! Contributed by the Evans Historical Society __________
