Earl Arnold Timm peacefully passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of Lois Anne Timm, with whom he shared 72 years of devoted marriage until her passing in December 2023. Earl was a loving father to Wayne (Pornjana) Timm, Donald (Kathy) Timm, Earl, Jr. (late Terrie) Timm, David (late Marianne) Timm, Sherry (Jeff) Becker, Diane (Steve) Wieszala, Gary Timm (preceded in death), Laurie Timm, Jacqueline (Donald) Newman, and Owen (Robin) Timm. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A proud veteran, Earl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, enlisting at the age of 18 and serving from 1948 to 1951. Following his military service, Earl dedicated himself to supporting his family, working in construction in his early years before becoming an over-the-road truck driver for many years to follow. Outside of his professional life, Earl found joy in outdoor activities, woodworking, and lending a helping hand to others. Earl will be missed dearly not only by his family but the many people whose lives he touched with his charismatic personality and sense of humor. Universal Pre-Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year
Parents/guardians of children interested in enrolling in Universal Pre-Kindergarten for 2024, can register at the William T. Hoag Educational Center, 42 Sunset Blvd., Angola, NY 14006. All Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes are full day; 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. The child must meet the following requirements:
• To be enrolled in the September 2024 Universal Pre-Kindergarten class, a child living in the Lake Shore Central School district must be four years of age on or before December 1, 2024 pursuant to §7120 of the Lake Shore CSD Policy Manual and NYS Education Department regulations.
• Proof of age is required at the time of registration. A birth certificate, baptismal record, or a passport will serve as adequate proof of age. Also, an official record of immunizations and proof of district residency is required for registration.
• All immunizations must be acquired by the start of school in September. Students without required immunizations will not be permitted to start school.
• Universal Pre-Kindergarten Visitation – parents and entering students will be invited to visit classrooms and meet the staff before the start of the school year.
