VICTORY CORPS at the Angola High School 1943

Excerpt from the 1943 Yearbook: “The Angola High School, during this academic year, was a member of the nationwide high school Victory Corps, an organization designed to cooperate with all other branches of the War Effort in winning the war.

To better meet the purposes of the organization, five divisions, in addition to general membership, were provided. The divisions included Air Service, for those who wished to enter the Air Corps; Land Service, for those who planned on entering the Army; the Sea Service, for those who wished to enter the Navy; Production Service, for those who planned to enter industry, and finally the Community Service for those who intended to enter different occupations. In the Angola High School, Mr. John T. Waugh was the appointed director of the Victory Corps.”
