Below you will find important information and procedural guidelines regarding Code Enforcement/ Building Inspector, Parks, Garbage and Recycling Services and Yard Waste Disposal. ALL PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. NO SOCIAL GATHERINGS OF ANY SIZE. Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order establishes fines of up to $1,000 for individuals who violate social distancing restrictions or participate in gatherings. Gatherings, under Executive Order include “non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size.”

DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ONLY
During the current COVID -19 situation the Building Department will continue to operate in the same manner as always. Keeping in mind, that we are complying with all current regulations to protect our employees and the public from the spread of COVID-19.
Republic Services garbage and recycling crews are working diligently to continue to serve the Town’s residents with curbside collection services while experiencing an increase in volume of household trash. To protect garbage and recycling essential workers in the midst of the current COVID-19 Pandemic. At this time, we ask you do the following:
NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS AND CONTRACTORS
AS ALWAYS, PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. FAILURE TO MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE SUBJECT TO TRIPLE FINES. (As per Town of Evans Code 70-10B)
YARD WASTE DROP OFF STATION (Leaves and grass clippings only)

In anticipation of the warmer weather with residents doing Spring yard clean up, the Town of Evans has open the “Leaves and Grass Clippings” drop station at the Evans Town Park (Beachside) for Town of Evans residents only. Please do not leave containers, plastic or paper bags, etc.
1. NO garbage outside of bags and/or cans (anything else will be left at the curb) 2. NO recycling outside of recycling cart container (anything else will be left at the curb) 3. SUSPENDED – No Yard Waste Collection (Grass Clippings and Leaves) -- even if in garbage can. *See page 3 for details. Note: Branches, sticks and/or twigs can be placed by the street where they will be picked up by the Town of Evans Highway Department. 4. SUSPENDED – No Bulk Waste Collection
