1905: 1906: 1906:

The Catholic School at St. Anthony’s Church, Farnham, officially opened on September 5th. The school included Grades 1 through 8. Enrollment was steady with the highest enrollment of seventy-one students in the 1911 - 1912 school year. Family names included on the roster of 1910 - 1911 were: Barone, Borzilleri, Bonjivanno, Constantino, Christopher, DiMarco, Marcilerra, Pasqualle, Monteleone, Fonzone, Latta, Spratz, Vacanti, Muscarella, Pingitore, Castanti, Gerage, Dispence, Lamatta and Monte. (The listing was compiled by Nina NotaroFaltus.) Brant District #1 School was moved to its (then) present location on the Brant-Angola Road. Our Lady of Carmel Catholic Church was built at Brant Center. One half acre of land was donated by Santina Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Mogavero, Roman Catholic Church, Antonio Mogavero Brant, N.Y. 1964 and Rosalia Mogavero and deeded to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, N.Y. A house owned by Mary Taylor was deeded to the diocese to serve as the parish rectory. The church building was con structed with work directed by the Ciminesi, Loretto, Catalano and Gugino families. Wood for the structure, taken from trees on the farm owned by Francesco Catalano on Ellis Road, was transported by horses and log-boats to the Calkins Mill on Brant Reservation Road.

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sen. Sean Ryan presented Lake Shore High School teacher Tony George with a NYS Senate Commendation Award during the District's Homecoming events. The award honored Mr. George for his efforts as founder of the annual Bald for Bucks campaign, which has raised more than $6 million for cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. More than half a million dollars of that amount was raised at Lake Shore, Sen. Ryan noted. When he told his students about it, they began collecting donations, eventually raising $3,600.
