The Sunlight on the garden

The sunlight on the garden Hardens and grows cold, We cannot cage the minute Within its nets of gold; When all is told We cannot beg for pardon. Our freedom as free lances Advances towards its end; The earth compels, upon it Sonnets and birds descend; And soon, my friend, We shall have no time for dances. The sky was good for flying Defying the church bells And every evil iron Siren and what it tells: The earth compels, We are dying, Egypt, dying And not expecting pardon, Hardened in heart anew, But glad to have sat under Thunder and rain with you, And grateful too For sunlight on the garden.

Louis MacNeice

We cannot cage the minute Within its nets of gold;

IMAGINATION Imagination is, in general, an image of awareness which tries to present the content of truth, and, at the same time, is eager in its attempt to represent awareness, and to create a reality with novel means.1

Imagine, it is not just a lamp. It is a light object which creates an emotional room accent.

ÂťThrow it towards me ÂŤ Object Art is the form of expression in modern art which instead of picturing the object in a self-changing or unchanged form as a cast or copy from an unspecific material involved in an artwork. Object Art also includes works which are not made from found objects, but are made from materials (wood, metal, stone, glass, etc.) into an unrepresented artwork, as well as a relic which shows action.

The combination with other materials and objects give the papyri a new aesthetic qualities.

In Surrealism, Object Art wins through absolutism of the Object Trouve to the Readymade developed by Marcel Duchamp. Part of Object Art is also the montage, the combined painting, the accumulation, enviroment art, and installation art.2

A »naná« lighT From a stiff rosette, with thorny-toothed leaves, it grows into a bulb. Inflorescence with a 30 cm. long stalk, and many unapparent blossoms, it then develops into a cone-like form with yellow to orange colored fruit - the pineapple. [From the Portuguese, meaning pineapple, Guarani »naná«] 3

3

The reference of object and space transforms the room into a narrative space.

SOMETHING SPECIAL

Pattern A fundamental pattern, which despite all obvious differences, seems to combine art and design as it builds a similarity between dissimilar pieces.4

Art and design come closer through patterns which combine them in an overall discipline.5

All papyri are made from hand without the use of glue. The complicated drying process has been developed through years of experimentation, to insure that the paper does not decay. With time, the papyri looses its strong color, becoming much subtler in tone.

»Art is the attempt to create, next to the real world, a human world.« André Maurois

night poem

There is nothing to be afraid of, it is only the wind changing to the east, it is only your father the thunder your mother the rain In this country of water with its beige moon damp as a mushroom, its drowned stumps and long birds that swim, where the moss grows on all sides of the trees and your shadow is not your shadow but your reflection, your true parents disappear when the curtain covers your door. We are the others, the ones from under the lake who stand silently beside your bed with our heads of darkness. We have come to cover you with red wool, with our tears and distant whispers. You rock in the rain‘s arms, the chilly ark of your sleep, while we wait, your night father and mother, with our cold hands and dead flashlight, knowing we are only the wavering shadows thrown by one candle, in this echo you will hear twenty years later. Margaret Atwood
