LUSD & CSD Boards Set with Strength in Numbers at MH Flag Football Closing Day November Local Election By Bryan Harrison
Mountain House, CA – As the nation continues to grapple with an unexpected finish to the November 8, 2016 general election, the local races here were considerably less contentious, though decisive all the same.

Most recently appointed board member, Manny Moreno, had his name on the ballot due to a timing issue with the county’s Registrar of Voters’ office. He came in a close fourth in the race.

The Mountain House Flag Football organization, led by Andy Su, has a now long-standing tradition of excellence in the community, as exhibited at the November 5, 2016 Closing Ceremonies. Well more than a thousand people turned out for awards, thank yous, and FOOD! The big event, held at Bethany Park, drew a huge crowd for the league’s End of Year Awards Ceremony, which was followed by a major party. Some of the notable winners included: Sponsor of the Year, Mike Repetto, of West Valley Disposal; Volunteer of the Year David Knipp; and Hall of Fame inductees Chad Cochran (coach) and Logen Keller, Devin Awbery and Timmy Funk (players). see page 18
