Dealing with Medicare Set-Asides at April MVCA Joe Anderson, of Medivest, sheds light on complex issue By Bryan Harrison

Stockton, CA – Medicare Set-asides in the insurance claims settlement process can be a big stumbling block to resolving some cases. This complex issue was brought into focus at the April 19, 2019 Mid-Valley Claims luncheon meeting here by Mr. Joe Anderson, of Medivest. In a relaxed and interactive setting, Mr. Anderson presented in layman’s terms an understanding of this often complex issue, bringing a sense of clarJoe Anderson ity both for the numerous claims people in the room dealing with how to properly calculate future medicare needs for insureds and/or claimants, as well as those who were just seeking a clearer picture of how this all works. Mr. Anderson provided a special focus on integrating MSAs with Special Needs Trusts as well as Medicare compliance in the ever-changing liability arena. His presentation gave an overview on how to customize strategies to build into your future medical settlement planning. Lic. #682814
