July 2019 Message from SCA President Steve Moore, PE, CASp

I have been a part of several teams, associations, groups, and clubs throughout my life. There has always been one or two people in the organization that seem to excel at coordinating and executing events.

SCA President Steve Moore, PE, CASp

Well, the SCA has two of those unique individuals who always seem to bring success to the events and our association. THANK YOU Mathieu Schwartz and Jason Kettlehut! Mathieu was responsible for the SCA’s annual golf tournament, held at Turkey Creek again this year. The weather and the day were both perfect! We had a fantastic turnout and raised a lot of money for the Sacramento Fire Fighters Burn Institute.

Jason, the SCA Social Committee Chairman, executed yet another phenomenal social event at Mayahuel. Although I was not able to make this event, I was told it was a success with a great turnout of around 37 people! A good time was had by all and I heard the watermelon margaritas were once again a big hit! Again, THANK YOU to Mathieu and Jason for putting on unbelievable events that only help our SCA grow stronger!

I don’t know about you folks, but this year is absolutely zooming by! It is already the end of June with school out and the summer heat hitting hard. And with the heat and the 4th of July, it is getting closer to the SCA Family Night at the River Cats game! This year’s event is scheduled for July 16 and promises to once again be a really fun event for SCA Members and their families. To purchase tickets for this event, please visit the SCA website at www.sacramentoclaims. org for more information and possible sponsorship opportunities. Finally, we have had a lot of new faces at our events this year, which is so great! With so many new Members comes new and fresh ideas for the SCA. So, if you are interested in being on the SCA Board of Directors and having a definite impact on our association, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other Director and find out how you can be more involved! Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Steve Moore

Sacramento Claims Association

2019 SCA Membership! Join/Renew for 2019 NOW!

Annual Membership earns discounts, includes priority privileges and helps fund the organization The Sacramento Claims Association Membership Committee would like to encourage you to join and/or renew your annual membership to the association. Member dues provide a significant financial support to the organization, and a strong membership helps to keep a non-profit like SCA viable and alive. Without all of us together there would be no SCA. “This organization could not maintain the strong standing we enjoy today without the support of all our members,” stated SCA President Steve Moore. The organization has worked diligently to continue to provide programs and events of interest and value to claims adjusters and the surrounding claims service community. “The Sacramento Claims Association is always committed to maintaining a high degree of professional courtesy within our ranks.” In addition to the organization actively taking measures to continue to raise its standing within the community at large, the association has been building on its sphere of local charitable causes to support. The SCA Board has opted to continue to offer annual FREE Memberships to insurance carrier adjusters (with an optional suggested Jump On-Board NOW! $10 donation going to the charitable fund). Completion and submission of a simple membership application now allows all such claims people the benefits of membership. Go to www.SacramentoClaims.org
