Those who regularly drive Grant Line Rd near the Delta College Campus, crossing Central Parkway, are a-buzz about the long-awaited presence of construction machinery and crews beginning the work to connect the intersection. “We’ve been anxious to get this important intersection pushed through,” said Mountain House Community Services District General Manager, Ed Pattison. Mountain House Developers, LLC project Manager, Dave Sargent, expressed his pleasure in finally being able to move forward on the connector. Waiting for the ground to dry up a bit after the heavy winter rains was the last step necessary before construction could begin. Initial stage of the project is to connect the two roads with a four-way stop. Ultimately, a traffic signal installation is planned, as the expansion of the entire stretch of roadway gets underway. Sargent stated that this connection will likely take a couple of months to complete.
