Commute Rail JPA Gets Underway By Bryan Harrison
Livermore, CA – The newly-formed JPA (Joint Powers Authority), the Tri-Valley - San Joaquin Regional Rail Authority - held it’s inaugural planning meeting Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Robert Livermore Community Center. Tasked with a legislative mandate, as designated by California AB758, to “take immediate steps to advance a Work Program concept that will expedite the development of cost-effective and responsive transit connectivity between the BART system and ACE rail Service in the Tri-Valley region,” the planning committee showed great enthusiasm in getting their work underway.

Round-Up

Motorists and pedestrians, alike, may have noticed the measuring devises strategically placed on various roads around town toward the middle to end of December. Following extensive public discussion, as well as social meeting chatter, on the increasing dangers brought about by a greater degree of traffic on the roads, as well as concerns over the ability to enforce particular speeds, MH General Manager, Ed Pattison, quickly commissioned the traffic flow study. On-hand to report results from the brief but thorough examination at the January 10, 2018 CSD Board Meeting was traffic expert Christopher Thnay, Sr. Project Manager at Stantec.
