PROS PRIMED FOR MASTERS
T
wo-time Masters champion Bubba Watson (2012, 2014) will be one of the marquee players to watch when the Masters tees off Thursday. Watson, who already has a victory this season with the G driver and fairway wood, is one of six PING pros who will rely on the new technology at Augusta National Golf Club. That includes Louis Oosthuizen, who won recently with a G LS Tec driver and G fairway wood. See the PING Apparel Ambassador’s Masters attire for the week on page 2. Also in the field — 2009 champion Angel Cabrera, Hunter Mahan, and Andy Sullivan and David Lingmerth, both Masters rookies. Veteran Lee Westwood has four top 10’s and a T11 in his past six trips to Augusta.

an eight-birdie, bogeyfree final-round 64. His TR 1966 Anser 2 provided what the Spaniard said was his most important shot on Sunday when he rolled home a 55-foot birdie putt on the 10th hole, fueling a surge of fourstraight birdies and five in six holes. He made 17 birdies over the three
rounds, #1 in the field. See his What’s in the Bag on the next page.
With an Anser 2, Jiménez gave the new TR 1966 putter series its first victory.

In Gee Chun went deep with her G LS Tec driver, G Stretch 3-wood, and two G hybrids, staying in the hunt until the final putt in search of her second LPGA major title, at the ANA Inspiration. The South Korean, whose first LPGA win was last year’s U.S. Women’s Open, finished T2 one shot back at -11. Two PING pros joined her in the top 10: Caroline Masson at T6, and Brooke Henderson matched the day’s low round Sunday, a 5-under 67 to finish T10, her sixth-straight top 10 this season. Masson and Henderson also rely on G drivers.
