Such different similar people Once came Kalevipoeg with a great idea to invite guests from all over the planet to visit his Palace of Joy! “But how will we understand each other?” felt worried Matolik the Goat. But Egle calmed him down: “If people really want to understand each other they can always use sign language!”
So the day came when guests from all over the world started arriving. They were so different! But when they took a closer look at each other they saw that actually they are rather more alike: they all had two hands and legs, one head, only colour of their skin was different. There was a boy wearing glasses among the guests. At first Findus thought that maybe he wants to appear smarter than others but Petson explained him: “People wear glasses not for beauty or image but because they can’t see very well! You should better help him by telling him stories that would describe him something he he has not seen!”
One family had a very sad boy. He didn’t speak to anybody neither wanted to play with anyone. His name was Robbie and his mum explained: “My son can not walk, he moves around only on his wheelchair!”. The whole week the friends took Robbie for a walk to a playground where they came up with many exciting games. And when it was raining they stayed inside and played board games with him. Robbie was so happy that didn’t even notice his illness anymore.
Once while the friends were playing outside they noticed two boys who were crying behind the bushes. The friends were very surprised but the boys got so scared, started shaking their heads and covering themselves with their hands to protect from beating. So Prince Frog talked to them in an unknown language and what a miracle! One of them started answering and Prince Frog translated him!
“I am from Japan,” told he “and my friend is from Mexico. We came here to perform in a circus. When we came on stage people started laughing at us and tease us and then they threw stones and chased us off the stage. We took our belongings and went to the train station to go back home but on our way we were attacked by some dogs. We threw down our luggage and hid away in these bushes. We are so scared and very hungry.”
Egle, Golden Girl and Ilinka hurried to bring some food and they fed the boys. Kalevipoeg, faithful Henry and Žaltis went to find their luggage. Prince Frog calmed the boys down and convinced them that now no one would hurt or laugh at them.
Because our Earth is so huge and there are many different continents and countries where live different people with different skin colour and eye shapes. They speak different languages, have different cultures and their own traditions. We have to accept each other as we are and be friends.
