Law
Maxwell Hall
Maxwell Hall is the home of prospective lawyers. Magnificent, this building has stood between the Student Building and Owen Hall for many years. Soon the School of Law will move to its new location and Maxwell Hall will be a memory.
It is more than a stone structure, it is a place for learning law. It contains row upon row of books over which the student ponders.
Within the walls of Maxwell Hall are the students that will some day be our lawyers and politicians. The students do not change over the years. They come here for learning, they laugh, they take quick breaks, they absorb legal knowledge . . . they go out into the world.

Tomorrow's Lawyers
In a few schools in the United States, it is possible to apply for a law degree with a pre-law background derived either from the School of Business or the School of Arts and Sciences. Also in a few universities, it is possible to enter law school at the end of three years.
Indiana Law School is a combination of each of these groups. The foresight of the advisers of our law school has contributed to the earned status of the local institution.
Besides offering courses in Bloomington, a branch of Indiana University Law School is centered in Indianapolis, where a student can fulfill the requirements for a degree.
In the near future, the law library will be housed in the new Law Building, now under construction. The prospective lawyer will change his quarters from Maxwell Hall to the new building at the corner of Indiana and East Third Streets. Dean of the School of Law
