Employment History Bartle Hall – Countryside Hotel October 2017 – February 2019 Whilst working at Bartle Hall, I acquired many skills. I learnt how to interact with customers over the phone, by expanding my phone etiquette while covering a couple of reception shifts while also managing the company's computer database. I am also capable of dealing with many customers at once which was instrumental when I was working on on the bar as there would be around 10-15 people at the bar at once during events. During this time, I also improved on my communicative skills. By doing this I was able to interact with customers ensuring they enjoyed themselves so they would be more likely to return to the hotel in the future. During this time, I got to work on my team working skills as everyone on the team had to trust and help each other out so that everything ran smoothly. This also improved the quality of my work when under pressure since the timing in events such as weddings must be perfect. During my time at Bartle Hall, I was left in charge from time-to-time so I experienced how to lead a team in situations. Examples of this was giving each member of my team specific roles throughout the event, Judging the timeframe of the events and dealing with issues that occur in a timely manner. Steve Law Painting and Decorating Ltd February 2019 - June 2019 During my time at Steve Law Painting and Decorating Ltd I took on many administrative tasks like taking invoices, Taking and sending out payments as well as ensuring every employee knew what job they were doings as well as where they were doing it at. During my time with them I also enhanced my phone etiquette skills by having to ensure that everyone I rang/ rang us was satisfied with what they wanted, so they would use our services again. I also gained the skill to persuade customers to purchase several services over the phone. Heavenly Desserts® Preston June 2019 - September 2020 (Seasonally) During my time at Heavenly Desserts, I learned learnt how to keep up with the flow of customers that came to the establishment. While I worked there, I mastered many different aspects of the job like. I also memorized the menu so that I could assist customers make decisions with their orders and ensuring any dietary restrictions were met. While working I also improved on my balance while carrying several plates, drinks, etc. so that I could deliver the food to the customers at a faster rate. Throughout my time at Heavenly Desserts, I
was also trained on the drinks section. During my time in the drinks station, I remembered all the drinks and sundaes to ensure that all the drinks were made in a timely manner while also making them look professional. I also opened the shop a few times meaning I would have to ensure that the shop was ready for customers and that there was nothing missing so that the customers experience would be enjoyable and so that every employee could carry out their duties without having to worry about things not being done or items missing. I also partook on cleaning at the end of shifts which included both front of house positions and the drinks sections. As I worked, I was shown how to clean all the sections thoroughly and effectively which I grasped and got better at it as time went on. Liverpool Football Club – VIP lounge January 2020 - March 2020 Throughout this job my main responsibilities where to ensure that the lounge was set up and remained in a pristine condition throughout the evening. I also had to ensure that I was giving the customers the best experience they could possibly have by ensuring that all their needs were taken care off. At this jobs just like many of my past jobs I’ve had to greet customers and serve them with a smile in addition to ensuring that all the items they have ordered have arrived at their table ensuring that there have been no mistakes made. Moss Bros June 2021 – Present While working at Moss Bros, I’ve honed and mastered many skills I gained from other jobs. Examples of these are: Having precise time management skills, this was archived by fulfilling the desires of appointment and walk-in customer while also ensuring I obtain items needed for previous customers all while making sure I made no mistakes. My organization skills were developed during this time as I had to keep track/ fulfill all my retail and hire orders, before the date they were needed. This also improve my reposefulness as at times many of the items that were needed were unavailable, so I had to produce clever and imaginative solutions for problems. My phone etiquette also became more professional as I must deal with all requests made over the phone in a timely and professional manner ensuring that the service, I provide to the customer over the phone is perfect. I also improved on my customer handling as many of the customers were after suits for their weddings and I had to ensure I made them feel prioritize, while making sure that their needs and specific tastes were understood and were considered along with their budget and timeframe, so that they bought items they were 100% satisfied with.
