The intention of the brief was to contemplate interior architecture as a sensory experience in a hotel; with the integration of its ambiance themed around wellness. Following on from the tradition of what a hotel is, the project has become a reflection of how hotels have adapted over the years, focusing on Liverpool as a location, and making sure it fills a gap in the market. A hotel is a space that connects you to the location it is in. It is a place in which we experience social interaction, new cultures and a place of rest and reset. More and more, hotels aspire to give different experiences to their guests, weather it is by connecting them with the place or giving a unique experience of stay. The design mainly focuses on relating to the wellness lifestyle; incorporating quality bedrooms/ workrooms and private quarters for clients. Quality restaurants/ cafes and bars will also be included. As a wellness theme is incorporated places like spas and gyms are also included. Support areas for the mentioned above are also included.

The intention of the brief was to re-design an existing Bank building into offices for a creative digital webform company. The building has an impressive banking hall which has been transformed into the main hub of the building for both company employees and the public. The design mainly includes a reception in the space and a couple of meeting pods that were designed to fit the company needs. The design in the space takes great advantage of the already existing dome which is a great feature and allows the space to have plenty natural light, promoting a healthy workplace. The whole workplace includes many workspaces for its employees as well as meeting rooms, craft spaces and relaxation spaces. The building also accommodates for a small restaurant and a bar in the basement to provide optimum working conditions to the employees.

BA YEAR 2 SEMESTER 2 Live Lounge

7

The intention of the brief was to create a space for a live lounge which initially would be a hub for musicians. The design included a main performance space with plenty of backstage room, a music school, café and bar, meeting spaces, accommodation for performing musicians as well as an outdoor space on the roof top, with a central feature skylight that would illuminate the performance space below during daylight hours.
