Introduction

About me... I am a 20 year old third year student with a passion for creating liveable art. Architecture to me is using my creativity to design amazing spaces that whilst being functional, also serve as a breathtaking experience, one that is hard to forget. My skills in fine art fuel my love for design, as well as my fascination in 3D design software and the possibilities of the use of programs within modern architectural design. I never want to stop experimenting and refining my skills, whilst learning new techniques to improve my CAD expertise and the quality of my persentations.

Comprehensive Design Project

FRAGMENTS: The Life Cycle of a Glacier The final project for Level 6 consisted of the Comprehensive Design Project, for which we were left to our own devices in designing a project that complimented the brief whilst maintaining a conscious effort to reduce the environmental impact of the project during construction. With the main narrative of the project situated around the design of a ‘Bathhouse’ I decided to take the route of the sauna, digging into the Finnish history as well as the bathing history in Liverpool. The climate crisis that I wanted to bring to attention is the melting of the glacial ice within the arctic regions of the world. With a gallery space for artists, researchers and conservationists to display their work, this glacier inspired bathhouse acts as a means to spread awareness whilst educating the public on this environmental crisis. Whilst serving as a public multifunctional building, the pool and saunas are the main attractions for every age. The central location will aid in drawing the likes of everyone to congregrate within a social space, utilising the facilties and all together relaxing, just like they did in ancient history.

THE POETRY OF WATER

19 19

The first project for Level 6 focusses on the environment and the significance of climate change. Using sustainable materials and the natural hillside, water is harvested during phases of extreme rainy weather and utilised during dry summer weather. The design was intended to create an immersive experience that changes with the weather in order to produce a memorable experience, whilst measuring the rainfall and producing storm data to track minute changes in the climate.

Light Space

LIGHT SPACE As a final project for Level 5, the opportunity to design a new performance space in Bold Streets own Ropewalks Square was something rather exciting. My main focus was encapturing the same quality of light demonstrated by Steven Holl.

Urban Design

URBAN DESIGN PROJECT The Fabric District is Liverpool’s next big project with so much potential, a new urban social area was designed to be implemented into the existing spaces to bring it back to life.

With the group’s focus being on to reduce antisocial behaviour, it was essential that the space is maximised in order to create a welcoming and calm environment with an added cafe and student accommodation.

ARCHIFILM My favourite 4, to design, an architectural showcase true

project from Level model and create moving picture to experimental design.

Using my love for Japanese culture, the art of orignami drove this project with the intention of honouring it in the style of a public Pavilion. INITIAL MODELLING STAGE
