MONASTIC DEBAUCHERY
A simple religious space provokes external thoughts for the far more deeply interfused. In order to understand a Monastic way of life you must confide in history. You must allow the Christian beliefs to become your mentor. The cistercians themselves believe the architecture of their space is to be constantly updated with the evolution of design to the times.

Space & Reverie
The age of complete integration and autonomy is imminent. Artificially intelligent machines will have liberated humanity from the dull, unpleasant labour, allowing it the freedom to enjoy the attractive and creative work, the work of the intellect and of the imagination. This paradigm shift would require a rethinking of the spaces in which the new work will be done.

Centrum Muzykoterapii Gdańsk
The Music Therapy Centre is located at the waterfront of the Na St?pce Canal of Motlawa River. It sits in an abandoned warehouse of 731m2 which is ruined during the WWII. The Music Therapy Centre is designed in such a way that the historical old facade is left untouched and a new building is inserted within. As stated in the urban masterplan project where its objective is to encourage the culturalism in Gdansk, this design project aims to share and grow the connections between people through music.

Poland have departed the EU over disagreements about deforestation and judicial reform. This has caused a large divide between the residents who voted to leave or remain. In defiance, those who voted to remain stage a squatting protest on Granaria island, Gdansk.

This thesis project seeks to explore a contemporary approach to art gallery design, by creating a further extension of the Labyrinth of the Senses Masterplan. The project explores themes from deconstructivism, palimpsest to interior urbanism in order to create a sensorial experience for the visitors, and find an approach to art gallery design that challenges the standard perception that has been prominent historically. The gallery will house temporary contemporary art exhibitions in Gdansk, of which few exist and none on this scale, combined with a winter garden.

House of Mirrors
My architectural aspiration is to speculate for new proposals in which we can question the interaction of today’s society. ‘House of Mirrors’ guides you through the 21st century distractions all the way to its aspirations, tempting an experiential maze of illusionary frames. Reality or fantasy, this building gives a glimpse of the innermost existential desires.

My final thesis project is an attempt to create a gateway building providing the surrounding area with an identity and encouraging the growth of an emerging creative edge. The contrasting sides of the building provide different environments which draw in a wide spectrum of people with the ultimate goal of improving the surrounding communities through creative media.

The proposed building is a cog in a wheel of an overriding flood alleviation strategy for Gdansk. It combines a boat lock, pumping station and crossing point at an established node in the city. Historically constructed separately, these functional elements of infrastructure have been forged together to create a building and structure that stimulates human interaction and engagement with the waters edge and the structure itself

It was from this waterway system that my individual thesis developed. The initial concept of a moveable and floating architecture would formulate. The location for the individual works was fixed upon the islands set within the historic river entrance. This was the most logical position for the floating vessels as it would be act as the heart of the arterial network and be best placed to depart and return from the main routes.

Project: This thesis engages on the ideas of integration and boundaries not only on a literal level with socially engaging activities but also on a metaphysical level engaging the idea of thought and representation through design. An area that has great history for thieving working communities has been lost in the process of society changing its living patterns. A new change is causing people to move into the city. Being close to the every day amenities is what now seems essential to peoples every day life.
