intention : To become centre of knowledge for Dingle community to develop and exchanging knowledge and skills

The project is located at Dingle, Liverpool. It is surrounded by institutonal building and currently the site is an undevelop green space. The proposal aimed to become a centre of knowledge for Dingle community to develop and exchanging knowledge and skills .The project offer a new concept of what is the future of library as an idea. The concept is a forest bath. This project also introduce a new culture of study and working environment together with non acedemic programme. The structure are loose to incorporate with the garden.It is designed to allow flexibility in term of movement and long hours. The programme are also designed according to surrounding programme as they are bulit in silo. Thus, the project is catering for multi generation.

Garden by the park A The garden is located at the main entrance facing Harlow St. It is act as meeting point for Dingle community and outdoor coffee shop. Garden by the park B The garden is facing Holy Family Catholic Primary School. It is act as waiting area while parents waiting for their children to finish school.

Rainwater haversting Rainwater haversting in this project involve channeling water from the blue roof to the pond .Three pavillions will channel water from the roof to the handrail at the walkway via roof chain before release to the pond.

Thesis research The research involve series of exploration from
surrounding
environment
and
precedent for the thesis project.Research on theories of present and future of library was conducted during this period to understand the architectural aspect of library. Three photomontage of building massing at the proposed site give image on how the building may look like at real site.

01 Williamson Tunnels - Live project (semester 1/ year 2)
The live project took place at williamson tunnels in Liverpool. This project conducted to understanding the context of the architect and the construction industry, including the architect’s role in the processes of procurement and building production under UK legislation.The idea for this project is using wood as structure according to budget from the client.

02 L8 Courtyard House Architectural design project - Housing Design Project (semester 2 / year 1) location : Liverpool intention : Courtyard and circulation as social space With the state of housing across the EU considered ‘critical’, younger generations find it increasingly difficult to access home ownership, whilst simultaneously facing limited availability of social/ affordable housing.Thus, the project provide different types of housing typology to accomodate different household income. The site is important to to the community as it is the original location for Caribbean centre. The centre is part of history of Liverpool.The new proposal consist of courtyard as part of the centre itself. It helps to accomodate large numbers of people into bigger area. Each section in the site have their own courtyard that helps people socialize. Each house also has their own yard. The yard was designed as personal space but still allow interaction between neighbour.

02 Dujardin Mews Architectural design project - Precedent Study (semester 2 / year 1) location : Enfield intention : High quality social housing Dujardin Mews is the first social housing to be built directly by the London Borough of Eneld for around 40 years . The project is built on a rectangular plot of remediated land next to the Oasis Academy School and a wider 2 storey suburban neigbourhood. High-quality housing is arranged in two terraces, establishing’permeability through the site and relinks important pedestrian connections between north and south. The study involve retrace the drawing and build up 3d model to understand the construction and also house typology of this project.

02 Urban space and public decent: therole of the the public spaces of liverpool on the history of disorder,democratic protestand riots in the city Specialist study -Dessertation (semester 2 / year 1) location : Liverpool intention : Usage of urban space in Liverpool in year 1911 and 1981 via mapping method As world becomes advance, the riot on the street takes run into cyber war. Back in those day, most the riot too place at public space.The study focuses on two major events back in year 1911 and 1981 in Liverpool. Both of the events were chosen because it is one of the worst riots in the history of Liverpool. In this study, the focus are on the factors that contribute to riot and the role of public space during the events. By comparing the events that took place at public space with element of democratic public space, might able to prove if the city of Liverpool was built for the protestand. Mapping method was used to give clear view of movement of people during the event based on material from secondary sources.Based on the study, both of the events mainly used road as major usage of public space during the riot.

01 Chester Ecology Park Individual urban design (semester 1 / year 1) location : Chester intention : Provide recovery of native habitat Through a series of regenerative design, the site has been transformed into ecological park. The park provide recovery of native habitat, and visitor may also experience seasonal flower changes .The intention of the park is to educate society regarding of importance of preserving natural habitat.

01 Water Project Group urban design (semester 1 / year 1) location : Chester Intention : Engange community with water and waterfront
The intention of the project is to connect the west of chester back to the river. It is also seeks to engange with the community. Water lifestyle is part of the proposed activity which influence the entire project. New modern gate system will be install to open up the passage to river Dee. The new development at the waterfront consist of mix development of housing and retail on stilt. This will allow undisturbed view of the the waterfront. The space is a multifunctional space as it can be converted into event space. In addition, green walkway is part of the scheme for city sustainability.The green walkway will be guidance for people to walk from the city center to the waterfront.

The Green Line By reroute the vehicle path allow maximize pedestrian route from the city towards the waterfront. This strategy indirectly allow unobstructed pedestrian path via greeneries.

The method has been applied to the urban design project at Chester. The method help to understand spatial quality of a city.

Art & architecture The study explore the influence of fine art theories and practices upon architectural concepts at gothic cathedral. For the study, two cathedral were chosen as subject. The exploration involve comparison of ornaments detail between Basilica of Saint Denis and Notre- Dame de Paris.

RIBA Event One Day Project ( Bootle Town Centre) Sefton Borough Council have recently bought the Strand Shopping Centre, a local neighbourhood district centre in a very deprived part of the city. The centre is struggling to be commercially viable in the face of changing shopping habits and lack of much other local economic activity. The City Design Champion project brief focusses on the front and back of the existing shopping centre
The vision that comes from the site issues as a group is to create a functional shelter that connects to transportation hubs. The idea also involves upgrading the looks of the building via new facade treatment especially on roof.
