Comprehensive Design Project
Historic Parr’s Bank / NatWest Bank
In this project, the brief proposal is to remodel of the historic Grade II listed Parr’s Bank on Castle Street into a luxury hotel, whilst preserving the history and the façade of the building. Inspired by Liverpool’s iconic waterways, the design proposal will include four large, circular thermal pools that transpire the form of a water reservoir, as way as an array of spa facilities, including a sauna, gym, and treatment rooms. The aim of the hotel is to have total relaxation and a form of escapism, and haven, away from the bustling city life in Liverpool. In addition, health and wellbeing are important factors to the feeling of total relaxation and peace, so when redesigning this project, fresh air, natural light, and luxury spa facilities are the key considerations. In addition, an arched atrium is inserted into the existing building’s open space, knocking the building back to its original structure, preserving the façade.

Interior Re-Modelling Project
Historic Bank of England
The aim of this project is to design a creative workspace for Camira, a Yorkshire manufacturer of fabrics, acoustic materials, and upholstery, and Digital Webform, who are looking to turn the Bank of England building in Liverpool into a creative space to display imported specialised materials and create sculptural acoustic products to display and sell. The specialised product that Camira and Digital Webform will produce will be sculptural acoustic panelling made from natural materials such as wool. The proposal explores the use of regenerating it’s own energy from wind towers and wind turbines and creating a sculptural façade that uses temperature controlling technology.

Unity Youth Centre
The Unity Youth Centre is an alternative social facility aimed for children and young adults between the ages of 5-19 to provide a haven around school calendar and hours. It is a multifunctional space, where areas such as the small hall and car park are rented out for fitness classes to help generate more income for the centre. The aim for this project is to make a multifunctional space, ideal for children and young adults, providing safety, sanctuary, as well as an abundance of activities and chill zones, and most importantly, improving the quality of facilities already in the building. In addition, the building needs more natural lighting and a wider variety of spaces and zones, including an outdoor garden and relaxing area. It is an important to include separate spaces for a recording studio, dance studio, gym, and sports hall, as they currently are the more used facilities, however, they need some improvement to maximize the potential the building can offer to the children and young adults.

The design proposal for the Fruit Exchange is to design a performance hall and music school, utilizing the historic auction halls and to preserve as much of the existing building and structure. Furthermore, inspired by guitars and their materiality, the design utilizes an array of curved wooden panels that have been steamed into the shape of a guitar and hides necessary acoustic treatments.
