BA(Hons) Architecture Liverpool School of Art and Design
ABOUT ME My name is Valiqa Tanveer and I am a 20 year old who has just finished my final design project for my BA(Hons) in architecture. I enjoy discovering new information about design and how architects are evolving everyday to create projects that benefit both the environment and the public. I am always trying to develop the skills I already obtain and attain new skills to allow myself to work towards a wide variety of ability, which would provide the oppertunity to be as useful as possible in any area I am exposed to. WHAT I VALUE - I believe strongly in growth and the idea of being within an environment where people can learn from one another, there is always more we can do for teach other and ourselves to grow our skills and knowledge. Looking at my progress motivates me to see what more I am capable of. PERSONAL INFORMATION NAME

BA YEAR 3 SEMESTER 2 - THE GREEN ZONE
The Green Zone Looks at the theme of biophilic archiecture in work spaces and how it positively affects user health this lead to the design to focus on incorporating the availability of green spaces for office users, treating break areas and visual stimulation as a neccessity not a privlege. Researching the Ten Streets area and noticing the lack of green space lead to the idea of implementing a zone that provides the visual and mental stimulation of green design for both public and private purposes. Highlighting the positive effect of green design on user health in an area for innovative independent businesses proposes the possibility of continuing this desire to design for the people’s well being a in future schemes around the area. Post-Covid we have appreciated the time we have to spend socialising with others in both public and work settings and have understood the appreciation for a breath of fresh air. This scheme is intended to embody gartitude for the existing structure we always have, the earth and propose a space that allows people to be productive and energised while not being closed off from the rest of the public and the outside world.

BA YEAR 3 SEMESTER 1 - CLOUD 05 3D VISUAL DISPLAYING MATERIAL COHESIVE TO THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE DESIGN
Cloud 05 proposes an education centre based around the current developments in sustainable material and the effect of unsustainable waste material on our environment. Specifically, the impact of water levels rising as this is highly relevent to the site which is located within the Lake district. The design displays five buildings (05) providing different uses for each space all focusing on the theme of education and research. The buildings are arranged around an elevated rainfall viewing/collection space. The taps attached to the centre collection tank water a sensory garden which acts as a source of sustainable growth. This element is mimicing a cloud thorugh the watering of the plants. The buildings are all arranged to allow a view to either to rainfall space or the lake which provides a direct view to the water levels fluctuating. The building allows ample natural lighting which benefits the plants and the users.
