WELCOME
TO DONCASTER RACECOURSE
Good evening and welcome to Doncaster Racecourse for our first Live After Racing event of the year. We are excited to welcome Shed Seven to the stage around 9:10pm and we hope you enjoy the show. We have a limited number of VIP wristbands that can be purchased for £5 from the start of the 1st race. These are available from the racecard booth next to the Double Trigger Statue in the Grandstand Enclosure and give you exclusive access to watch the show from the Clock Tower steppings located at the side of the stage. We have even more live music lined up for you after racing this summer; Kaiser Chiefs on 3rd June, Paloma Faith on 25th June, Nile Rodgers and Chic on 16th July and McFly on 13th August. Tickets are on sale now at www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk and include a full afternoon of racing followed by the live music. As well as our Live After Racing series, we’d love you to join us for our Platinum Jubilee Raceday on Saturday 4th June. We will be celebrating 70 years of Her Majesty The Queen and looking back at her time here at Town Moor. After a full day’s racing, the celebration will continue with live entertainment from ‘Decade Explosion’ who are sure to get you up on the dance floor with hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Our Dinocaster Racecourse Family Fun Day is on Sunday 12th June and is sure to be a great day out for the whole family. You’ll be transported back millions of years to see Zeus the giant T Rex, a Triceratops, Raptor and Spinosaurus roaming around Dinocaster Racecourse. Have a chat with Cory the Talking Dilophosaurus Dinosaur, see baby dinosaurs hatching from their eggs, register as a trainee ranger at the Dino Basecamp or take part in a dinosaur dig to see if you can discover prehistoric dinosaur bones. Don’t forget our Annual Membership offers significant savings on admission including our Live After Racing race days, family fun days and the 4-day Cazoo St Leger Festival, as well as access to 15 other ARC racecourses across the UK. Look out for our raceday presenter Bobby Beevers and resident tipster Roger Hart who will be in the Parade Ring at 4:40pm to run through today’s racecard and hopefully pick you some winners! As always, our team here at Doncaster are committed to doing our very best to ensure you enjoy your day and we value any feedback you may have. We wish you the best of luck today! Star Ratings Explained Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below: HHHHH Selected to win the race. HHHHI Good chance of being placed. HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope. HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

We have a dedicated team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting. Use of Screens It is our policy to erect green screens around any horse requiring veterinary attention. This does NOT reflect the severity of any injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse. Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse!

RACE SUMMARY
Five of the six are newcomers, and nothing jumps off the page, though MONTY MAN has all the hallmarks of a speedy juvenile and he could be the answer. Agostino outran his odds on debut and should take a step forward, while Delirous Dream and Ibiza Love are not out of it either, particularly if market clues point towards them. 1-2-3: 1.MONTY MAN (IRE) 2.AGOSTINO 3.DELIRIOUS DREAM KEY

GIOGIOBBO boasts a good record here and, having shaped with encouragement on his recent reappearance at Goodwood, he gets the nod ahead of another veteran sprinter with an affinity for Town Moor in Wentworth Falls. The Haydock handicap Lovely Breeze contested on return three weeks ago was a higher-grade one than this and she merits respect, along with Prince of Bel Lir, who did the job well at Yarmouth last time.
