ONE MILE TWO FURLONGS 7 YARDS For Purebred Arabians, 3yo+, rated 0-80 (also open to such horses rated 81 and 82; see Standard Conditions).

SOHAR FORT HANDICAP STAKES 0-80 Total race value £ 4000 | Owners Prize Money. 1st £2061, 2nd £966.80, 3rd £483.60, 4th £241.60, 5th £120.80, 6th £60.40

RACE SUMMARY Several experienced handicappers take on some young improvers in what may be a very competitive affair. Al Mahbooba looks frustrating, but goes well in a visor and is from a family that excels at this distance, a first try on quick turf could be the answer. Jaahez is closely related to her and is suited by these conditions, he’s comfortable out in front too, but could set the race up for the Collington pair. Both colts stayed on well in their recent wins and are open to plenty of improvement. The unbeaten Rebal Athbah should have the edge, being a year older, however the form of KAFOU ATHBAH looks stronger and though worse off with Al Mahbooba, he’ll be happier back on turf and just get the nod.

dren's i(\ c_;J}__ ambulance Keeping hope alive

''The Children's Air Ambulance is dedicated to helping children all across the UK get to the care and support they need." With this in mind, we know how important it is that the Children's Air Ambulance continues flying. Unlike many charities, we do not receive any government funding, rather we are driven by first class professionals, a small army of volunteers, and of course the kindness of public donations, from people just like you. In September 2018, we were honoured to have been selected as the Northern base for the Children's air ambulance, which from 2013 had operated centrally from Coventry. The decision to locate the 161mph aircraft and its crew at Finningley Airport, over larger cities such as Manchester and Leeds, is testament to the central location of the town, and has enabled vital journeys between Doncaster Royal Infirmary and the Sheffield Children's Hospital to be completed in just 10 minutes. Since taking off in 2012, the Children's Air Ambulance has changed the face of paediatric care, providing a world-class high-speed transfer service for critically ill children to specialist treatment centres, such as the children's heart unit in Leeds or even journeys further afield to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. This is about providing vital care and saving the lives of children, and I would like to extend a big thank you to all those who help keep the air ambulance in the air. We are the only helicopter Emergency transfer Service in the country dedicated to children, and I am confident with your continued support we can help thousands more and their families in the years to come. I would like to conclude by thanking today’s supporters, Rueben’s, Slingsby’s Gin and Ground Group who have all made generous donations and for that we are very grateful.

I wish you an enjoyable evening

GREAT BRITISH BONUS SCHEME The Great British Bonus (GBB) offers multiple bonuses of up to £20,000 per eligible race for British-bred fillies and mares.

HBLB PRIZE MONEY The Horserace Betting Levy Board prize fund schemes provide for the estimated inclusion of £1,840,683 at this racecourse in 2022.

At every race meeting at Doncaster our top priority is the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. We have a dedicated team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting. Use of Screens It is our policy to erect green screens around any horse requiring veterinary attention. This does NOT reflect the severity of any injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse. Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse!
