WELCOME
TO DONCASTER RACECOURSE
Hello and welcome to Doncaster Racecourse for Rock at the Races! We would like to thank our sponsor Unison for their continuous and most generous support. There are 7 races on the card and our raceday presenter Bobby Beevers and resident tipster Roger Hart will be in the Parade Ring at around 1:15pm to run through today’s runners and riders and hopefully pick you out some winners! Don’t rush home after racing as we are delighted to welcome Magic Queen to Town Moor. Magic Queen are one of the most dynamic and exciting Queen Tribute Bands in Europe and will be performing on the Champagne Lawn at around 5:40pm – they’re sure to get you up on the dancefloor! Racing League 2022 kicks off at Doncaster Racecourse on Thursday 4th August. Seven regional teams will compete over six Thursday evening fixtures at ARC racecourses around the country and fight for valuable points to boost them up the league table. The team with the highest number of points after the final race will become the 2022 Racing League Champions. Which team will you support? #TeamYorkshire! Our final Live After Racing raceday is on Saturday 13th August with McFly – one of the bestloved British bands of the 21st century. The four-day Cazoo St Leger Festival takes place 7th – 10th September! This is the highlight of Doncaster’s social calendar and we welcome visitors from all over the country to Town Moor to watch history in the making. Featuring the Cazoo Leger Legends Charity Race on Wednesday, the highly anticipated Style Awards on Thursday, The Cazoo Doncaster Cup on Friday, and of course – the Group 1 Cazoo St Leger Stakes – the World’s oldest Classic on Saturday. It’s only 146 days until Christmas – so time to start thinking about your Christmas celebrations! Christmas Live is perfect for a fun-filled work Christmas do or simply for gathering your friends together for an unforgettable festive night out! You’ll enjoy a live cabaret show with incredible professional dancers, exquisite dining, entertainment village and casino, disco, and a ‘Survivors Breakfast’ at midnight! Tickets for all our upcoming racedays and events are available now at www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk. We recommend you book early to avoid disappointment. As always, our team here at Doncaster are committed to doing our very best to ensure you enjoy your day and we value any feedback you may have. We hope you have a great day! Star Ratings Explained Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below: HHHHH Selected to win the race. HHHHI Good chance of being placed. HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope. HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.
You must be 18 or over to place a bet You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet If you cannot produce this your bet will not be accepted

FIRST RACE 1.47 ABOUT SIX FURLONGS (6F ABT 2YDS) FOR TWO YRS OLD
THE CLIFF WILLIAMS MEMORIAL NURSERY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Total race value £7500 x Owners Prize Money. 1st £2944, 2nd £1472, 3rd £736, 4th £368, 5th £240, 6th £240. (Penalty Value £3726) SS
RACE STATS LEADING COURSE TRAINER (17-22): R Hannon (35 wins from 284 runners, 12%) runs JUST DASHING TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): R Hannon (10 wins from 89 runners, 11%) runs JUST DASHING LONGEST TRAVELLER: JUST DASHING trained by R Hannon, Marlborough, 184 miles. RACE SUMMARY The fact KODI DANCER got on top towards the finish when making a successful nursery debut at Southwell suggests this step up to 6f could suit and she’s taken to defy the handicapper. Grant Tuer’s Fortuitious Star has been knocking on the door in similar company and rates an obvious danger, while Wholetthedogsout and Just Dashing are possible improvers in nurseries. 1-2-3: 1.KODI DANCER (IRE) 2.FORTUITOUS STAR (IRE) 3.WHOLETTHEDOGSOUT (IRE) KEY colours

LAATANSA offered definite signs of promise on 2 of his 3 starts in novice/maiden company last term, not least when third in a race that has worked out very well at Newmarket in October. Having changed hands for 250,000 gns thereafter, he could well be up to making a winning return, with Tribal Wisdom rating the chief threat. Wandering Rocks may do best of the remainder.

We have a dedicated team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting. Use of Screens It is our policy to erect green screens around any horse requiring veterinary attention. This does NOT reflect the severity of any injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse. Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse!

A host in with chances but DESERT DREAM is proving consistent this season so Seb Spencer’s charge gets the verdict to snap a losing run stretching back to 2020. The Grey Wolf opened his account over C&D in June, and having posted a couple of creditable efforts in defeat since, he could be the one to give the selection most to do. Kodebreaker and Back From Dubai can fight out minor honours. 1-2-3: 1.DESERT DREAM 2.THE GREY WOLF (IRE) 3.KODEBREAKER (IRE) KEY colours
