Hello and welcome to Live After Racing at Doncaster.
We are delighted you’ve joined us here today and we are excited to welcome Clean Bandit to the stage Live After Racing at around 9:15pm.
We would like to thank our sponsors Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping and their brand partners Baggage Factory, Cook N Dine, Ernest Jones, and Skopes Menswear for their generous support of today’s fixture
There are 6 races on the card today and our raceday presenter Bobby Beevers and resident tipster Roger Hart will be in the Parade Ring at around 5:45pm to run through the racecard with you and hopefully pick you out some winners!
Clean Bandit have consistently pushed the boundaries of modern pop with their diverse blend of electronic, dancehall, classical, R&B and pop. Their breakthrough success came in 2014 with the single ‘Rather Be’, featuring Jess Glynn, a Grammy award-winning worldwide hit that has now surpassed 10 million global sales! In 2016 they released their 10 millionselling single ‘Rockabye’, featuring Sean Paul and Anne Marie. This single was at the top of the UK charts for 9 weeks and Number 1 in over 40 countries, and became the longest running UK Number 1 in 22 years, surpassing Wet Wet Wet’s ‘Love Is All Around’. They recently received 2 Brit Award nominations for their 2018 smash ‘Solo’ featuring Demi Lovato, which became their 4th UK Number 1 and they have now notched up 9 UK Top 5 singles, more that Bruno Mars or Adele!
The Abba Party Night featuring ARRIVAL® is on Saturday 22nd July and our Unison Rock at the Races Raceday featuring Oasish is on Saturday 5th August! Come and ‘rock out’ to all your favourite hits after enjoying a packed race card!
Our flagship fixture - the Betfred St Leger Festival takes place 14th – 17th September and this year sees the first Sunday fixture – with Betfred St Leger Legends taking place on Sunday 17th The theme for this year’s festival is Made in Doncaster and we are looking forward to celebrating our wonderful city. Make sure you get your tickets before midnight on Monday for the best price!
Tickets for all our upcoming racedays are available now at www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk.
The City Celebration Wall is coming to Doncaster Racecourse this summer and will celebrate the greatest milestones to ever take place at our historic venue over it’s illustrious 400+ year history. Positioned in the Grandstand Enclosure, this is YOUR chance to feature on the wall alongside your racing heroes as we celebrate Doncaster’s recent investiture as a City by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2022. Plaques can be purchased by individuals, families, companies and organisations as well as replica plaques which can be proudly displayed at home A visual representation of the Doncaster Racecourse City Wall can be seen today next to the Tote in the County Enclosure. Visit www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk to find out how you can purchase your very own plaque
As always, our team here at Doncaster are committed to doing our very best to ensure you enjoy your day and we value any feedback you may have

TIMEFORMVIEWImpressive when scoring by a wide margin on his debut at Nottingham and had no trouble following up in 10.2f novice at Newcastle. Took form to another level when narrow winner of Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot. Not disgraced back down in trip when fourth in Grand Prix de Paris and this test will suit.
Star Ratings Explained
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race.
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope.
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

The consistent Bollin Margaret is likely to be in the thick of things once again, while Queen’s Company is also high on the shortlist having produced a career-best when scoring on her first attempt over this trip atYarmouth.
