A first taste of success on these shores could be in the offing for ZUCKERBERG, who wasn’t seen to best effect down in trip at Fakenham and a subsequent 4lb drop in the weights is a rather magnanimous gesture on the handicapper’s part. SIXTH RACE 4.47 THREE MILES ABOUT THREE FURLONGS (3M 2F 202YDS) FOR NOVICE FIVE YRS OLD AND UPWARDS
THE CAZOO SEARCH DRIVE SMILE NOVICES’ HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE) Total race value £13900 Owners Prize Money. 1st £5216, 2nd £2609, 3rd £1304. (Penalty Value £6807.50) Weights lowered 11lb.
RACE STATS LEADING COURSE TRAINER (17-22): D McCain (54 wins from 267 runners, 20%) runs BROTHER PAT & TIM PAT TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): D McCain (11 wins from 35 runners, 31%) runs BROTHER PAT & TIM PAT LONGEST TRAVELLER: GUETAPAN COLLONGES trained by C Longsdon, Chipping Norton, 222 miles. RACE SUMMARY
Cases can be made for all 3, but providing TIM PAT takes up his engagement here, he looks the one to beat given his striking chasing debut success at Carlisle. Guetapan Collonges looked hard work at Market Rasen but could go on improving, whilst Brother Pat has enjoyed a fine season and can’t be ruled out either in a competitive small-field affair. 1-2-3: 1.TIM PAT (IRE) 2.GUETAPAN COLLONGES (FR) 3.BROTHER PAT KEY colours

EQUINE POLICY The safety of horse and rider is of paramount importance to Sedgefield Racecourse. We have a team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a top of the range horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting. It is policy at this racecourse for screens to be erected when a horse requires veterinary treatment on the track. This is to offer some privacy and calm for both horse and vet and does not automatically imply that a fatality has occurred. To find out more about our Equine Welfare policy, please visit our website: www.sedgefield-racecourse.co.uk.
