RACE SUMMARY

JAZZ KING sets a clear standard on his pair of runner-up efforts so he’s clearly the one to beat. Carlow Farmer is far from straightforward, but he looks the one to follow the selection home if reproducing his Haydock second. Manothepeople is next best.

RACE SUMMARY ZAMANI is dangerously well treated so it’s worth taking a chance that a return to hurdles sees him bounce back to form. Highlander Madrik strikes as one who could have more to come in handicaps so he’s potential danger, particularly if backed. It’s possible the return to testing ground will help Lusitanien so he’s also on the shortlist. 1-2-3: 1.ZAMANI (GER) 2.HIGHLANDER MADRIK (FR) 3.LUSITANIEN (FR) KEY colours

In loving memory of David Thomas

‘Dave’ 28th February 1955 - 28th December 2020 Much loved Husband, Father, Grandad, a great friend and a True Gentleman. From 2003 to 2015 Dave and his company; VQS had Paddock Box 9 to which they had many years of happy memories. After retirement Dave missed going to regular meetings at Uttoxeter, so he decided to take a box on again to enjoy with his family and friends. To our amazement, Paddock Box 9 was the box offered to us. On the 14th of March 2020, Dave with his family and friends had their first race meeting back at Uttoxeter, which he enjoyed so much and was looking forward to many more. A couple of weeks later Covid 19 happened, and the country went into lock down and due to this we never got to use the box again as a family. Dave sadly passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on the 28th December 2020 They are all here today to remember such a great man. Please join us in raising a glass to celebrate Dave Thomas’s life.

RACE SUMMARY TAP TAP BOOM proved he retains a good portion of his ability with a pleasing return to action when third at Hereford just under 3 weeks ago. He may well come on from that outing, so he gets the verdict to notch a first success over timber on these shores. The hood is quickly reinstated for Dorking Boy with him having failed to settle last time so he’s feared most, ahead of Faire Part Sivola. 1-2-3: 1.TAP TAP BOOM 2.DORKING BOY 3.FAIRE PART SIVOLA (FR) KEY colours

RACE SUMMARY

Plenty of these arrive with question marks against them, and CHAMBARD looks to have been found a good opportunity to gain a first win over fences returning on an attractive mark for his in-form yard. Docpickedme appeals as the one to give Venetia Williams’ gelding most to do, with Haldon Hill another in the mix off a reduced mark.

RACE SUMMARY

FANCY YOUR CHANCES and Time For Hollie, who were second and third respectively behind an impressive winner at Ffos Las in November, are likely to fight this out, with the first-named taken to open her account at the second time of asking. Missed Vacation could be an above-average newcomer, so he has the potential to spoil the party.
