WELCOME
Welcome to our “Live After Racing” Race evening featuring ‘The Human League’ in concert. A particularly warm welcome and thank you to our sponsors today, The Boulton Group, who once again are sponsoring the whole racecard this evening. It’s fantastic to be once again staging a live music concert here at Uttoxeter.
This evening has been as popular as ever and we expect to see yet another bumper crowd here at the course. The team have been planning and working towards the event for months now and I would like to thank them for their dedication and hard work which has helped us put on the show. Other exciting acts lined up this year include ‘Martin Kemp’ and ‘Howard Donald’, who will be performing DJ sets at our Ladies evening (9th June) and Ladies day (22nd July), respectively. Today sees us introduce our new “Eco cup” initiative into our retail catering operation. Eco cups have been introduced as part of ARC’s green policy and are reusable plastic cups that will help us cut down the amount of disposable plastics that we send to landfill. Can you please return these back to the bars or deposit them into the collection points when you have finished with them. Graham Roberts will be joining us today and you will have opportunity for a meet and greet with him. Graham is an ex -England, Spurs and Rangers footballer & today is the 40th anniversary of his FA Cup win with Spurs. Head down to the betting hall to see him. Burton Albion Community Trust are the racecourse charity partner and will be here today for a charity bucket collection. BACT do some great work in the community including here in Uttoxeter. I would like to welcome Ben Robinson to the course this evening and congratulate him and his team for winning the EFL award for Community Project of the season. Which was awarded to The Brewers for hosting over 200,000 vaccinations during the pandemic. I hope you all have an enjoyable evening and good luck!

RACE SUMMARY
EGLANTINE DU SEUIL enjoyed a productive summer campaign last year and more of the same is likely this time round judged on her fine effort at Cheltenham where she was returning from a five-month break. Kissesforkatie was sent off at a much shorter price for that race at Prestbury Park and will be a big threat provided she stays on the right path this time. Quick Draw is 2-3 here and needs considering, too, despite running poorly at Newbury last time.

RACE SUMMARY
Question marks surround most of these for one reason or another. YOUNG O’LEARY is no exception following a string of inauspicious displays over fences, but he is worth chancing back in this sphere off a potentially handy mark. Tango Echo Charlie and Lifeisahighway also appeal from a handicapping perspective and they are feared most in that order of preference.

STUMPS OR SLIPS has given the strong impression he’s capable of better in his three hurdling runs to date and is fancied to take a big step forward now he steps into handicap company.
