STAR RATINGS EXPLAINED
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
ëëëëë Selected to win the race
ëëëëê Good chance of being placed
ëëëêê By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims.
ëëêêê Unlikely to win but not totally without hope
ëêêêê Can be given little or no chance
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions
A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances) The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non handicap races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating. For novice steeple chasers, the latest hurdle race rating may be shown until such time as the Handicappers allot a separate steeple chase rating. Such ratings are prefixed by the letter h.
You must be 18 or over to place a bet
You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet
If you cannot produce this your bet will not be accepted

WHAT IS ANDYS MAN CLUB?
Andys Man Club is a free peer-to-peer group that provides a place for men to come together in a safe and open environment to talk about the issues or problems that they have faced or are currently facing.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The process is about bringing men together who have been in similar situations, to each help each other on a peerto-peer basis, sharing advice on how they have dealt with difficult situations. The 5 questions that are asked each week are designed not only to encourage men to talk, but to start to focus on the positives and on strategies to keep moving forward. There is no pressure to answer any of the questions and it is not uncommon for men to just listen for the first few sessions.
The clubs all run on the same format and adhere to the same guidelines. A key principle of Andys Man Club is anything that is said in the club, stays within the club.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The club is open to any man 18 or over, who is going through a storm, been through a storm or just wants to meet a good group of people with the aim of improving one another
WHEN IS IT?
Andys Man Clubs meet every Monday at 7pm (excluding Bank Holiday Mondays).
WHERE IS IT?
Andys Man Club has over 100 locations across the UK. Check our website below for a full list.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Just turn up on the night. No registration or referral is required, all we ask is that you arrive before 7pm. The full list of our locations available on our website.

RACE SUMMARY
This can go the way of C&D winner ALI STAR BERT, who ran modestly back over hurdles here in June but is expected to get back on track reverted to the larger obstacles following his summer break. Gibberwell was value for extra having done just enough once in front at Hexham back in April so he may emerge as the main danger if ready to roll, with chasing-debutants Bob Bank and Fulgurant completing the shortlist.

A big-field handicap with a wide-open feel and with that in mind a chance is taken on C&D winner HENRY BOX BROWN. TIMEFORM VIEWShowed improved form when opening hurdles account in a C&D handicap in December Disappointed thereafter, including tried over fences at Ffos Las (2m) in May but returns to action with yard amongst the winners, so no surprise to see a better showing back over timber. TFRëëëëë BHA93

TIMEFORMVIEWRunner-up sole start in Irish points and definite signs of promise in trio of quick-fire novice/maiden hurdles back in the spring Very much the type his good yard do well with in handicaps and very interesting if market speaks in his favour TFRëëëêê BHA92

TIMEFORM VIEW Opened account over hurdles at Plumpton (17.7f) back in April. Distinctly mixed bag subsequently but better signs from easing mark when third of 7 in handicap at Worcester (2m, soft) 26 days ago. Needs to build on that now. TFRëëëêê BHA90

TIMEFORM VIEWResurgent from basement mark last summer, landing handicaps at Stratford/Newton Abbot on final 2 starts for Claire Harris. Creditable fourth back from 11 months off over C&D in July (sole start for Brian Barr) and no forlorn hope for new stable TFRëëëêê BHA81

TIMEFORMVIEWMade light of a five-month absence and a bad mistake at halfway when readily landing 8-runner handicap hurdle at Fakenham (2m, soft) in April. However, not in same form on 2 of her 3 starts thereafter but subsequent 4-month break may well help ahead of this TFRëëëêê BHA80

TIMEFORM VIEW Fetched £62,000 after finishing second in a maiden point in February but showed little in trio of quick-fire hurdle starts back in the spring Still, handicaps more suitable and no surprise to see a better showing with yard amongst the winners. Has had wind op TFRëëëêê BHA79

TIMEFORMVIEWStill a maiden but hard to knock his consistency last season, again filling the frame when third of 10 in handicap at Taunton (23.9f) in April. Takes a marked step back in trip on return and he’s no forlorn hope from such a lowly mark. TFRëëëêê BHA78
