Dear All,
WELCOME
After the crazy excitement of last week’s Brainiac Family Funday, we now enter the main part of our summer calendar, which takes place mostly on Monday evenings, with live music as an essential part of the entertainment.
Today’s theme is Acoustic & Prosecco, a perfect combination for a sunny June evening on the banks of the River Thames For the first time in 2023, the Club enclosure is in operation tonight, with high-class dining on offer for those of you who enjoy an al fresco experience.
In the grandstand and paddock areas there’s a wide range of catering available to all our racegoers, from the ever-popular fish and chip shop just inside the course entrance to many delicious options at the street food stalls on the lawn near the parade ring. And the vintage ice cream van, of course!
On the track, the highlight is the fourth qualifying race in the Fitzdares Sprint Series
These races are highly competitive, usually with close finishes, but if you’re lucky enough to find the winner you will be able to follow your selection all the way to the £75,000 final in August
The next two Monday themes are Irish Night and the‘90s; we also have two feature Saturdays next month: Gentlemen’s Day on 1 July and Ladies Evening on 29 July
Further information and tickets are available on our website windsor-racecourse.co.uk
In the meantime we hope you have an enjoyable and successful time this evening Summer is here, and there’s no finer place to make the most of it than Royal Windsor, the Home of Monday Night Racing
Best wishes

OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent orm under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

LONGEST TRAVELLER: LIOSA trained by W Kittow, Cullompton, 149 miles.
A number of these arrive with question marks against them so at the likely odds it is worth siding with SABAH AL WARD to take a sizeable step forward starting out for George Boughey on the back of breathing surgery. Recent Haydock second Big R holds obvious claims off just a 1lb higher mark and is next on the list with My Mate Mike and Skallywag Bay both weighted to have a say too.

The market will prove informative with the majority of these unraced, but THE LINE showed plenty of ability amidst greenness when third in a Royal Ascot trial last month, so he’s fancied to put that experience to good use and score second time up fitted with a hood Chiedozie, Matnookh and Sonmarg all have plenty to recommend them on paper, but the main threat may emerge from the once-raced Brave Empire.
