VETERINARY CARE
Horse welfare is a priority at Wolverhampton. At every meeting there are two specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all the horses in action One vet is present at the start of each race and during the race follows the runners in a vehicle Horses can be attended to in the same time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet follows the action from the stands and coordinates the required response to any incidents In addition, throughout the meeting a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected around the horse It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst
NOTICES
Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are subject to alteration All horses must parade in the Parade Ring except by permission of the Stewards, but in all cases must pass through the Ring on the way to the Post

This represents a good opportunity for PHILOS to open his account. He was unlucky not to do so at Beverley last week and the booking of William Buick adds to his appeal Optik failed to measure up to market expectations on his handicap debut atWindsor but could be about to take a step forward now upped in trip. Best of the rest is Bailar Contigo, who produced her best effort yet over 9.5f here last time and is also likely to benefit from this stiffer test
