These are the issues I aimed to address when designing the puzzle books. I have achieved this through creating a series of interactive puzzle books. The user is able to complete the puzzles on the book jacket thus giving it purpose. The book jacket is printed onto high quality uncoated matte paper so the user can draw on them as they do paper. ‘Puza’ is a company that specializes in the development of various puzzles including things like puzzle books, games and more. To pull everything together I also completed the branding for the company. The overall design can be described as fun, colourful, simple, and abstract.

I used a sharpie pen and drew the letters I needed over and over again on sketch paper. I then picked the best letter, cut them out and glued the chosen letters onto a piece of paper and scanned them into the computer. Once the images were scanned in, I brought them into Photoshop to adjust the image so the background was pure white and the letters were pure black. The Photoshoped image was then taken into illustrator and I played around with the live trace settings to get the most detailed result. Some letters were inconsistent in weight so I added a stroke to even that out. Lastly the letters were put together to form the words of the book titles.
