First... First we were deciding to do an organic bakery and coffee shop. After a few days of thought, we quickly changed our minds. You can see our mood remained the same throughout our changing themes.
Then... We decided on Ice Cream!

About
•Kindred Bagels features organic, fresh bagels in an eclectic and creative environment. •We hope to cultivate a comfortable and homey environment for this living within the SCADpad community a chance to relax and be inspired. •Our industrial space in combination with our wholesome bagels will remind our customers of home.
Size and Location •Kindred Bagels takes up at least three parking spaces within the SCAD parking garage. •The kitchen and selling space will consume 18x18 combined. •Kindred Bagels also takes up another parking space for our outdoor seating. •We hope to be located on the fourth floor of the parking deck outside the lighted doorway. •This location will attract students as well as residents of the SCADpads.
Hours, Staffing, and Suppliers •Hours are 6am to 6pm on Monday through Saturday and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday. •These hours allow students and occupants to start the morning with inspiration and fuel for an early class or day at work. •We plan to hire 8-10 people in total on rotation. •Our employees look like our target consumer to ensure the brand image. We also hope to hire SCAD students. •Our bagels will be made in house. •Products for the bagels will be Farm-To-Table, resulting in fresh, organic products within Georgia. •Our products are certified organic.

The floor plan was based off of a current sized SCADPad but with a little bit more room to equip a kitchen, dining inside and our outside patio garden.

•Our key item will be a specialtly bagel placed within a whimsical shadow box. • We will change out the bagel everyday to ensure freshhnes. •The key item will change every three days. •The shadowbox will be placed on the counter in the front of the register.

Communication •To reach our customers, we intend on placing large format, high quality posters throughout the SCADpad community. •Posters will be placed in the elevator, by the doors, and in the school. •Kindred Bagels will also be on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr to better reach our customers through social media. •We will also partner with MailChimp to create email blasts to be send to members of the SCADpad community. •We hope majority of our marketing to also be work of mouth. •Our products are certified organic.
