The past academic year has been a transformative period for the Enterprise Technology Learning Experience (ET LX) at Arizona State University This report encapsulates our strides in enhancing the learning environment through innovative technologies and support services We've continued to focus on expanding and refining our offerings across multiple domains to better serve our faculty, students, and staff Here’s a concise summary of their achievements:
Projects like the Creativity Commons Atrium Redesign and University Classroom Refresh Program focus on improving physical and virtual learning spaces This category also includes extensive AV system installations across campuses, like those at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center and ongoing enhancements in classroom technology.

Each category underscores ET LX's commitment to advancing technology integration in education, improving learning environments, and directly contributing to student success through enhanced educational tools and community-building initiatives
ET, AE, LE, and EdPlus collaborated to create the self-paced Generative AI Teaching and Learning course in Canvas Focused on developing knowledge, skills, and application of AI in education, there are currently over 2,200 members of the ASU community enrolled in the course. At the request of ABOR, a version of the course is being created for all UA and NAU to have access.
In AY23, ET Learning Experience hosted professional learning workshops on learning technologies such as Canvas, Adobe, Google and AI Workshops attended by over 4,500 ASU faculty and instructional designers
At the guidance of a faculty steering committee selected by the Office of the Provost, ET Learning Experience launched a revamped website for faculty professional development focused on simplified pathways to getting started with course design and teaching: https://lx.asu.edu/. Resulting in a 68% increase in traffic from the previous year.
Starting with a pan-Enterprise kick-off in September 2023, ET collaborated with the Provost Office, EdPlus, and LE to create the AI Communities of Practice (CoP). Each hosts monthly sessions for faculty, staff, and students to increase AI literacy, collaboration, and networking Teams across the university can share upcoming releases, products, platforms and everything AI

At the request of the Provost Office and in collaboration with EdPlus, ET launched a new Podcasting service to support faculty and students.
In collaboration with the Provost Office, EdPlus, and LE, we hosted the first annual FOLC (Future of Learning Communities) Fest FOLC Fest is a two-day intellectual jam session (read higher ed conference) hosted by the Office of the University Provost that brings together folks in teaching, tech and student success at ASU https://provost asu edu/folc-fest-2024
In partnership with the Learning Engineering Institute and Kyle Jensen's first-year writing programs, ET conducted a study on the implementation of AI in Writing Programs focusing on the instructor and learner experience adjusting to the use of AI as a writing companion and their resulting self-efficacy as writers.
Hosted Prompt Engineering Hackathon for Humanities, https://tech.asu.edu/features/aihackathon. A two-day event that invited students to use generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Bard, and Adobe Firefly to get a better understanding of the capabilities and limitations of these systems
ET and MLFTC hosted an Education by Design event in the Creativity Commons to present end-of-year graduate student projects that explore the educational and societal impact of artificial intelligence (AI). News Story
The AI Digital Trust CoP worked with ET Cybersecurity and the Office of General Council to create the ASU AI Digital Trust Guidelines. ET, FSE, MLFTC, and Edson took turns leading the AI Teaching and Learning CoP to share case studies of AI curriculum integration and feature faculty and student learning experiences
Launched the AI Innovation Challenge in Spring to encourage the strategic experimentation of generative AI in teaching and learning, research and daily work, anchoring our partnership with OpenAI in Principled Innovation. AI Innovation Challenge news story
Collaborate with Writing Programs to standardize and enhance the syllabi across various writing courses by developing a framework for customizable exports, which includes creating adaptable templates and an export feature for easy integration into different formats and platforms This initiative aims to align departmental set language with educational standards and institutional goals, ensuring both consistency and flexibility in syllabus creation to improve accessibility and usability for instructors and students
During the Spring 2024 semester at Arizona State University, the Visual Communication Design Junior Studio and LX Design collaborated to transform the Creativity Commons into a hub of innovation. Students reimagined community spaces to be more inclusive and technologically integrated, presenting their solutions in three areas: entryway design, Zoom
The MVP of ASU Portfolio was launched in the Fall to support learner demonstration of experiences, knowledge and reflective practice during their time at ASU and with potential employers In partnership with University College, ASU Portfolio v 1 was developed and launched in the Spring with the addition of features for customizable templates. Communication plans and timelines are in development for Enterprise adoption in 2025.
MediaPlus development this year featured improvements to captioning and integration with EDNA to support automatic account provisioning The most significant development was the redesign of the user interface in collaboration with the Streaming Media Advisory Committee
To meet ASU's scaled needs for micro-credential development, Enterprise Technology has developed a product concept called CredID, development kicked off in Q4 to meet the diverse needs of enterprise units and departments to create badges and awards that will then integrate with TLN and Pocket for full lifecycle experience. The initial MVP release is expected before the Fall semester, with continued development for future releases. This product will replace the existing Canvas Credentials product through Instructure.
In response to the need for large enrollment courses to have increased ability to create sections associated with multiple instructors and students in Canvas, ET developed the Course Enrollment System (CES) to improve the automated capabilities of course enrollment, increasing efficiency for faculty and instructional designers at the beginning of the semester
LX Design has partnered with Next Labs to create an XR experience of the ASU Tempe campus, showcasing iconic architecture and interior spaces to enhance collaboration and foster a deeper connection to the university. The project currently includes persistent sessions to explore the virtual world and is setting up pilot programs with co-curricular services like Academic Support Services for tutoring sessions and Multicultural Excellence for group meetings for Fall 2024.
Completed a redesign of the Creativity Commons atrium along with new and redesigned Tech Hub and Digital Maker Studio services for the launch of the school year to assist students with personal devices, learning technologies, and creative technologies such as the use of Adobe Suite and podcasting Upon project completion, the post-implementation focus has turned to growing the service as demonstrated through various partnerships, consultations and reservation management to replicate the pilot success on each campus Link to ET News Story

Additional usability/stability improvements were implemented across hundreds of learning spaces. (13) new stations with 27” displays for students to plug in personal devices/laptops in the Tempe computing sites created by LX Space Success.
