Special Thanks To: Christon Senekham & Sarah Phan — I give my personal thanks to these lovely Lieutenant Governors for reassuring me and reminding me to stay on top of my game as LtG. I honestly do not know what I would do without them and I’m super thankful for all their support.

This is a solemn yet captivating reminder that we has a K-Family, are not finished eliminating MNT from the world. The Eliminate Project is going continuing long and strong.

Which animal would you love to be for a day and why? A bird because I get to see and experience so much of the world in a short amount of time. What is your favorite pass-time? I LOVE watching movies! I could spend days on watching movies. Athena (Tina) Sok 1845 E. Harrison St. Tacoma, WA 98404 sok.athena@gmail.com (253) 310-3271 Twitter/Instagram: @TunaSock

What are your favorite music genres? I love hip-hop. You would know if you’ve listened to the CDs in my car. I love listening to old school hip-hop but I like listening to just about anything.

Hello, Sharks!

It’s already half-way through the Key Club year and to be honest, it hurts to think that I already have to start looking out for my innie! It’s been an amazing 6 months serving as your Lieutenant Governor and I really do not want to leave, but you all have taught me how to love greater, serve more, and lead better. This is a shout out to all those who are considering on running for Lieutenant Governor — JUST DO IT! No one should be stopping you, and even so, it’s a great experience to even run. More information on my election rally is found on the later pages. The upcoming DCM is November 16 at Round Table Pizza on Hosmer. It will be a Thanksgiving potluck with Division 35 so I really encourage a lot of you all to come through. It’s our first joint event with our sister division ever since the summer and this is a great opportunity for you to meet new people! Bring drinks, snacks, and tons of friends. You can even purchase a pizza at Round Table! Last but not least, have YOU paid your dues yet? All dues are due December 1st. If you don’t want to be nagged by your Presidents, be sure to pay your dues! I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Hope you all have a great day. See you at the DCM, or the Eliminate Dance, and take care! With love and service,

Athena Sok

Hello everyone! My name is Roshni Chandwani, and I am your 2013-2014 International Trustee. I’d love to get the chance to talk to all of you, get to know you, and work more closely with you. Trick-or-Treat collection boxes are now available for order! By clicking on this hyperlink, clubs can find out if they will automatically receive supplies. They can also order up to 8 kits of 25 boxes each at no cost from the Kiwanis store. With the Membership Update Center, advisors will no longer receive a password on paper through the mail. The emails that were sent to all advisors and Kiwanis secretaries last week direct them to www.keyclub.org/muc. Only advisors whose information is up to date in the database will be able to complete this process. Two more countries, Sierra Leone and Gabon, have eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus! Congratulations to everyone who participated in this project! We’ve saved 1,570 lives just in the past week, but we still have a long way to go. We still have $61, 898 left to raise the $2 million we need to reach our goal by September 30th. Thank you for everything you’ve done so far! Yours in service,

Roshni Chadwan Key Club International Trustee for Eastern Canada, Kentucky-Tennessee and Pacific Northwes Cell: (281) 854-4553 E-mail: roshni.chadwani.kc@gmail.com

Who: The whole division is invited to see who is elected to be the 2014-2015 Lieutenant Governor. It is highly encouraged to have 2 delegates from each club to vote at the rally. When: January 18, 2013, 1:00 PM Where: Moore Library 215 S 56th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98408 Why: To elect next year’s Lieutenant Governor of Division 34!

I must admit, being a Lieutenant Governor is a lot of work. If you consider yourself to be a responsible, hardworking, and competent leader, then you should definitely run for this position. A Lieutenant Governor must be able to miss a period or two of school every other week to visit clubs. They must be able to be in good position with their grades to miss days of school for board meetings and district events. Transportation is always a huge variable as an LtG. If you have your license, or you have a 100% reliable source that will provide you transportation, that will benefit you in the long run. A Lieutenant Governor must know that they are representing not only themselves or their division, but the organization itself. Keeping a positive and appropriate reputation is very important. If you have any other questions or concerns, or want to more information about what it’s like to be Lieutenant Governor, feel free to contact me.
