PAUL HOLLYFELD - 4.5
This powerful New England style Double IPA pours a hazy amber with a nice caramel head. Loaded with tropical notes on the nose, where pineapple is the dominant aroma. On the palate you’ll enjoy pineapple and mango, with just a slight, pleasant bitterness. On the slightly maltier side, this finishes very smooth with a slightly warming effect thanks to an 8% ABV.
PAUL BRAGIN - 3.75
A thick white head crowns this hazy IPA and never totally dissipates. A combination of pineapple, mango and pine scents from the hops dominates the smell. Likewise, the hop flavors remain while drinking the beer and stay during the extended finish. People who enjoy hoppy beers need to drink this. Pair it with hearty dishes like smoked beef brisket, grilled lamb, blue cheese or desserts like carrot cake or crème brulee.
JABEZ MARTINEZ - 5
This is a cloudy, straw-colored beer. I rarely give out a 5 but I really like this THBC offering - despite not being a big IPA fan. Bonus points for the Indiana connection, 8% ABV and pint can presentation. Flavor-wise, it's piney with some sweet hops and a hint of pineapple. I consider this the best IPA I've ever had.

KONA BIG WAVE GOLDEN ALE
PAUL HOLLYFELD - 4.5
This ale pours a clear yellow with a thin white head. On the nose you find pleasant tropical notes. It is light on the palate and slightly malty, with subtle tropical notes. It has a smooth finish, and is very sessionable with a 4.4% ABV. Very refreshing, and one of my favorites from Kona.
PAUL BRAGIN - 4.5
A thick white head rests on this golden ale and slowly evaporates. Malt scent controls the nose, with some hop scents also present. The first sip of the beer gives the malt and hops a chance to go back and forth on the tongue. The lower alcohol content makes this beer a great choice for ballgames and picnics where several can be imbibed. Pair it with seafood, poultry, salads and light pasta dishes.
JABEZ MARTINEZ - 3.5
This is a clear, amber-colored beer. It reminds me of drinking Budweiser but with a little more hops. It's a smooth beer - an easy session beer for the summer. I would almost consider this a very light IPA. It's pretty good but I'm not overwhelmed by it.

NEW BELGIUM SUMMER BLISS
PAUL HOLLYFELD - 3.5
This is a tropical wheat beer brewed with mango. It pours a slightly hazy straw color with a thin white head. There are notes of tangerine and mango on the nose, and the mango is very evident on the palate. Very little bitterness, with a hint of coriander and an almost effervescence due to the high carbonation. This would be especially refreshing on a hot summer day with its low ABV.
PAUL BRAGIN - 4
A thin white head forms on this wheat beer when poured into a wheat beer glass. The scent profile contains a good amount of citrus notes. A refreshing burst of carbonation hits the tongue first, followed by a strong citrus taste that lingers during the finish. This beer could see a rise in popularity during the hot summer months when drinkers want something refreshing. Pair it with goat cheese, salads, seafood or fruit desserts.
JABEZ MARTINEZ - 4.5
This beer pours a hazy straw color with decent carbonation. It's very refreshing and has a nice mango flavor which I normally don't like. It also has a nice floury flavor. Once again, I'm not a fan of floury beers but I like this one. I think those flavors blended with the wheat is what makes the difference.
