President’s Report
The year is marching on and Club activity is stepping up. We have had two excellent Club runs so far and both have been well attended. Looking at the calendar for the rest of the year there is plenty more to come. Organising runs is difficult and sometimes a thankless task. I would like to offer a special thank you to Maureen Boatwright for the wonderful job she does for us. I really don’t know how she comes up with so many new and interesting destinations. The best way to demonstrate our appreciation, of course, is to participate. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a long line of Austin Sevens cruising down the road. We have been having difficulty with the migration to the new website resulting in the temporary suspension. This is expected to be remedied very soon. Happy Motoring, Mark Wellington

If you wish to attend invitational events outside Club runs, you must contact a committee Member to log the trip, otherwise your registration and insurance is not valid. At all times your Austin 7 should carry a copy of the Club’s Certificate of Insurance (Public Liability) and the most recent copy of “Baby Torque”.
Event Director’s Report The second run for 2010 was a great success. There were seven Austin 7’s travelling to Brooklyn, three moderns and one very keen Member who travelling by train from Picton and then returning the same way. We all know who the train commuter is. Warren Tite deserves a special thank you for his enthusiasm and effort in coming to the Club breakfast Runs. Also thanks to Cliff Stockley who trailered his Austin 7 from Tuncurry to the McGill’s residence, took part in the run just for the day, then trailered it back home. Well done Cliff. Faye and Robert Yarroll arrived at Strathfield to start the run in their beautiful 1932 Box Saloon and I know they had a great time on Herbert’s first big outing. They have sent a story to appear in the magazine regarding their eventful day spent travelling round the countryside in “Herbert”. We had a very good roll-up for a huge and delicious breakfast before heading off to cross on the Berowra Ferry, then to Galston and eventually home. Attending in Austin 7’s were: Faye and Robert Yarroll, Joanne and Mark Wellington, Cliff Stockley, Ken Rolley, Sue and George McGill, Deirdre and Brian Haywood, Maureen and Mervyn Boatwright. In moderns were: Amy and Paul Pui, Sandra, Paul, Jessica, Katie and Jackie Boatwright and Barbara and Kevin Fahey. and, of course, our train enthusiast Warren Tite, a total of 19 adults and 3 children. Thank you all for attending and it would be great if a few more Austin 7’s will join us on the Mystery Run in March. Those interested in displaying their Austin 7’s at Shannons Eastern Creek and The All British Day - Kings School at North Parramatta are asked to please contact the Events Director so your name can be placed on the list. This will see the early birds being assured of tickets for the events. At the March General Meeting, the winners for the competition held on the February Breakfast Run will be presented with etched glasses. See you on the March Mystery Run Happy Austin 7 touring, Maureen Boatwright
Happy Birthday to all the Members who celebrate birthdays in March.

GENERAL BUSINESS 1. Australia Day – Mollymook Beach, excellent weekend. Some people went to Motorfest. 2. Warren – received registration form not filled out properly – sent back. 3. Kevin put to floor wants another inspector of vehicles – need one for the Hills District. Recommended by CMC to have pink slip. A couple of Members have approached Kevin about inconvenience. Members have a choice. Mark – was contact when we had trouble with RTA. Only one registrar but can have other inspectors. Car on road as a service. The purpose of conditional registration is to be able to attend Club runs. We could see cars on runs. Initial registration Warren is prepared to visit the person at their place (within reason). Cliff – Austin Motor Club decided that all cars need pink slip to protect the registrar. Registrations fall all over the place, but before we used to have a registration day and we could do it as a group. Warren – conditions are the same. Responsibility of the owner to make sure the vehicle is roadworthy. Anthony – availability of inspections for Club Members. More of our club members are outside the city limits. Darryl – yes we can have more than one inspector. Schedule inspection with run. At this point time no inconvenience to Warren - you have a months grace. We don’t dismiss the idea as a committee but the idea of conditional registration is to be on the runs. 4. The committee asks for feedback with regards to the need for a second inspector. Some information will be put in magazine to gain feedback – matter referred to committee for consideration and review. 5. Paul passed on Invitation from Baptist Church in Gordon. 6. Darryl thanks Rob and Faye Yarroll for article. 7. Don Scanes selling a lot of spare parts, available to Members before they go to the swap meet. Meeting closed at 9:10 pm.
Point Score Trophy Don’t forget the Austin 7 Club “Point Score” program. Our aim is to see as many people attending events and meetings (this includes monthly general meetings) as possible. Participation in an event or outing, begining from the starting point and going through to the finish, will score you 2 points while attendance at a general meeting will score you 1 point. These points are awarded if you show up in your Austin 7 or your modern and the person with the highest points tally will receive a trophy at our Christmas Luncheon/Presentation Day. So get involved, support your Club and have some fun. See the Coming Events section on page 2 for our next event.
