Tsipane will deliver the State of the Mpumalanga Province Address All roads lead to Nelspruit on Thursday the 4th and 5th July next week as the Premier of Mpumalanga Hon. R. M. Tsipane will deliver the State of the Province address on Friday. While there might be expectations that there will be minor deviations from the February SOPA, now that the Premier has a five year mandate, there are bound to be surprises in her
speech. Our very own from Gert Sibande, former Mayor of Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality, Ms. B. P. Shiba, who is now the Speaker of the Legislature will lead proceedings. At the start of each year or after National and Provincial elections, the Premier delivers an
opening or state of the province address (SOPA). This outlines government policy and direction for the year and also identifies specific goals and targets. The President of South Africa delivered his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on 20 June 2019 to give directions to Provincial leaders on the direction of National goals.

How to Respond to Misunderstanding 1. Sometimes we will be misunderstood by our close friends. Paul clearly loved the Corinthians and knew them well. And they clearly knew him well. Yet a rift had grown between them. The same thing happens in marriage, in families, among friends and co-workers, and it certainly happens in every church. If you haven't been misunderstood lately, don't worry. It's bound to happen before long. That's part of the price of living in a fallen world. What happened to Paul happens to all of us sooner or later. 2. The best defense is an honest, clear, nondefensive explanation. Remember Joe Friday from the oldDragnet TV series? He was famous for saying, "Just the facts, Ma'am." Paul doesn't complain, doesn't blame, and doesn't point fingers. He isn't long-winded. He lays out his explanation so his readers can decide for themselves why he had not come back to Corinth.

3. We can't control how people respond to us. Rarely will our explanations convince everyone. Sometimes even our close friends will choose not to believe us. At some point we must decide to leave our reputation in God's hands and walk away from the controversy. "If you live to please people, misunderstandings will depress you; but if you live to please God, you can face misunderstandings with faith and courage" (Warren Wiersbe). 4. Pray for those who misunderstand you. In Sunday School recently our teacher exhorted us about reaching out to the "lepers" around us, the people who cause us difficulty or pain, the folks we normally avoid as much as possible. Then he asked, "Who are the lepers in your life?" An uncomfortable silence filled the room. No one wanted to answer that question. Finally a man spoke up and said there were some people he found it difficult to be around. Referring to the call to reach out to the "lepers," he commented, "That's good preaching but hard living." Very true. It's easy to say "Love the people who misunderstand you," it's hard to put it into practice. But we must do it anyway.

5. We must not return evil for evil. This is also hard, especially when your motives are repeatedly attacked. But in this we are to be like our Lord who when he was reviled did not return evil for evil. When he faced the shouting crowd, he did not trade insults, he did not try to get even, and he did not make accusations. I submit to you that this is not a natural way to live. When we are insulted, our natural inclination is to return an insult for an insult. But Jesus chose another way. As the old spiritual puts it, "He never said a mumblin' word." "As a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth"(Isaiah 53:7). When he stood before Pilate and Herod, and when he faced the jeering mob, he uttered no insults, he made no threats.

9 Huge Mistakes That Could Ruin Your Relationship You’re going to need to be brave if you really want to fall in love. I had to learn the hard way that I can’t allow myself to act defensively whenever my partner accuses me of coming up short in the relationship. At first, I always thought that I was so prim and proper when I was in love. I always assumed that I was being the perfect girlfriend to my partner. But the truth is that I was just scared. I wasn’t brave enough to come to terms with the fact that I was indeed less than perfect. And the reason I was scared was that I used to think that imperfection would mean losing out on love. But that is all wrong. You can never allow yourself to be scared of confronting your own weaknesses. You can never be scared of coming to terms with the truth when it comes to love and relationships. You must always be willing to face reality. And that’s exactly what this article is going to force you to do right now. If you are genuinely interested in falling in love, then you need to face these 3 truths about it. 1. Unreasonable expectations are premeditated fights and disappointments. It’s always fine to have your share of expectations whenever you first get into a relationship with someone. When you have expectations and you communicate them to your partner, then you are essentially keeping each other in check. You are always staying on the same page. But if you have unreasonable expectations that you hide from your partner, then you are essentially setting yourself up for disappointment. You are only going to be instigating fights with your partner before you even start the relationship. 2. We all want to feel loved and cared for by someone else. You don’t have to keep acting as you hate it whenever your partner is trying to baby you. You LOVE being loved. EVERYONE loves to be loved. Just stop denying it. No one is going to think that you are some kind of codependent loser if you want to feel love and care from your partner. No one is going to blame you for craving your partner’s affections. It’s perfectly natural for you to want to experience the love that your partner has for you. You don’t have to keep putting up this false image of yourself as someone who doesn’t need your partner’s affection or intimacy. 3. We often blame our partners for our own insecurities. You are only human and so naturally, you are going to have your fair share of insecurities. However, if you fail to maintain a sense of self-awareness; if you fail to come to terms with your insecurities, you are going to want to project them to the nearest available target: your partner. You will start to blame your partner for all of your weaknesses because you are too afraid to come to terms with your own vulnerability. You always want to see yourself as perfect and so any imperfection in your life must be attributed to your partner instead. This can be very detrimental to any kind of relationship and you need to stop that if you don’t want to drive your partner away. FINAL THOUGHTS If you find that you are guilty of a lot of these less-than-perfect truths, then that’s fine. You’re only human after all. At least you have the selfawareness to realize your mistakes so that you can learn from them. You just have to be able to recognize what you are doing in your relationship that isn’t necessarily working. - relategist.com

go towards extending bus services, refurbishing commuter trains, linking high-volume corridors and integrating all these into an effective transport service. Madam Speaker, this is exactly what the ANC led government has been doing since the dawn of our democracy. True to our commitment to invest in public transport infrastructure as outlined in the ruling party's electoral manifesto, we have successfully launched the national and regional road infrastructure networks like Maputo Corridor, Moloto Corridor and the Trans-Kalahari Corridor. We have improved and extended the N1 and N2 road infrastructure linking towns, cities, provinces and neighbouring states. This is because we acknowledged the strategic role that, the road infrastructure network can play in unlocking and stimulating local and regional economic activity and in the creation of job opportunities. The President's pro-poor and unifying vision must be viewed as a prototype to deliver a just, dignified, and inclusive future for our generation. It is a cosmopolitan vision that will undo centuries of racial inequality premised upon apartheid social planning which turned the majority of our people in into pariahs in the land of their birth. Social and economic exclusion caused by policies of the past is still evident in the long distances many people, especially the poor, travel from where they live to their places of employment. Providing them with suitable, safe, efficient and cost-effective transport is crucial for broadening social and economic access. Madam Speaker, the ANC-led government has successfully introduced the Rapid Bus Transit in a number of cities in this country. This system has reduced costs of travelling in urban areas, making it easier for young people who are students and job seekers to commute between townships and cities. However, too many of our people who live in rural areas are still unable to benefit from such a system. The NDP is explicit in advocating for a reliable, economical and Continued on page 04....../

all contracts to women and 15% to youth. Madam Speaker, the Department of Transport has developed a rail policy framework that seeks to revitalise South Africa's rail network. You will recall that in October 2018, the President launched South Africa's very first passenger train manufacturing plant in Nigel. This state of the art facility is positioning South Africa as a manufacturer of new generation passenger trains. To date, Madam Speaker, this facility has already produced new trains locally. We will continue to engage our colleagues in the taxi industry to also do their part and ensure the dignity and safety of our people by sanctioning the utilisation of road worthy minibus taxis into their operations.
The new, advanced breathalyser kit that was launched by former Transport Minister Dr. Blade Nzimande in April 2019 will assist our efforts to remove intoxicated drivers from our roads into jail cells. We will continue to take strong action against those traffic officers who allow drunken driving by accepting bribes. We recall that as recently as June 16, we lost 24 young people in one collision. This was in addition to the 45 people who passed away in the same weekend in Limpopo alone. We once more wish to convey our heartfelt and sincere condolences to the families of the victims. We agree with Transport Minister Mbalula that one death on our roads is one too many.
As Provinces, we stand ready to lend a hand and support him in his plans We also re-affirm Government's to have traffic officers on the ground commitment to continue to engage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and to with the Taxi Industry on matters such as the issuing of subsidies to the increase the number of officers in our employ. sector, vehicle financing, and taxi violence. We shall not treat drunk and reckless drivers with kid gloves.

Ditch the 5 hours Inverter & Use 12 volt Gadgets Edvertorial Load shedding is unavoidable especially if one or two generators breakdown. This is when it becomes absolutely necessary to implement rotational load-shedding. The power utility keeps alerting South Africans of risks of load shedding once there is a shortage of capacity due to the loss of generating units at any of its power stations. The power utility has also received additional megawatts than projected from wind power plants. At a media briefing, Eskom shared its Winter Plan where it indicated that it expects to implement 26 days of Stage 1 load shedding during the winter period, depending on the level of unplanned breakdowns. Eskom has appealed to residents and businesses to use electricity smartly and sparingly. “By rallying together we can contribute to a saving of up to 500MW, which is equivalent of 1 unit at a power station. Please switch off geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand,” it said. With innovation, we can all assist to conserve electricity on the grid through the use of affordable 12 volt gadgets that do not require the use of the traditional inverter. The article below will assist you to understand. 12 Volt Gadgets now in the SA market As load-shedding puts uncertainty in the consumer’s mind, and as solar installation prices remain high, mainly because of a large requirement of solar pannels and batteries coupled with a power consuming inverter that gives you only 5 hours of power, 12 volt appliances like 12v fridge, 12v freezer, 12v kettle, 12v hot plate stove (or gas stove), 12v dry iron with spray, 12v plasma TV (rechargeable), 12v sound systems (rechargeable), 12v hair dryer, 12v hair straightener, 12v led bulbs and motion sensing security lights etc... which avoids the use of an inverter are now available in the SA market. While the traditional inverter requires it's own power to run before it steps up power to run 220v appliances and has limitations depending how many watts the inverter is, 12 volt gadgets take the power directly from the batteries and work for the longest periods. During a power outage, with an inverter, one can have power for up to only 5 hours on a standard system, but on 12 volt gadgets, one can run for the whole night and during the day can still run all appliances with little limitations on a small inexpensive system. Coupled with a gas stove and solar geyser, most house holds can literally go off grid for much less that previously quoted. For more information on these gadgets send a WhatsApp message to 084 334 4627.
