Soon after, everyone proceeded to the venue inside the jailpremisesfortheinaugurationof a Diploma Course in “Herbal Medicines and Disease Prevention”. The very laudable programme arranged by the Prison Superintendent and staff, was noteworthy; very orderly and informative held inside the prison with a good number of inmates, resourcespersonsandcontributors,

Aloysius University and the Govt Authorities here, are advanced and generous in their thinking and planning, outside the proverbial box, aswepracticallynote.
A reputed criminologist mentioned often that Crime is a social fact, crime is a living reality and correction of the crime doer is not merely a desirability, but an inevitable necessity, precisely for this the society has a responsibility to correct, reform, rehabilitate and reintegratethewrongdoers.Itmay be a great contribution to give goodies, entertain and cheer the prisoninmatesfromtimetotime,as several social groups normally do. But it is also essential for Society and officials to ensure that justiceisdispensedtoundertrialsin

Afterreleasetheindividualsmustbe equipped with resources and skills to build a better and respectful life for themselves and their dependents to prevent return to crimeandpunishment.Itisawidely admittedfact that little or nothing can be done unless the people in society come forward to help the inmates in prisons and ex-convicts. Prisonsareforpunishment-butdo not forget they are more for preparation for release. A prison is like a flowing river - offenders, convictsandinmatestransformand go out in due time and be productive providers and goodcitizens.

If I am quiet, you call me meek. If I take the lead, you say I act like a freak.
If I laugh aloud, you look at me with a frown. If I frown, you pester me to calm down. What should I do? Who do you want me to be?
If I wear a short dress, you immediately question my morals. If I decide to dress traditionally, you say I'm out of fashion.
If I choose to focus on building my career, I'm often seen as someone who lacks family sentiments.
If I choose to stay at home, I'm labelled as lazy and less efficient.
What should I do? Who do you want me to be?
If I raise my voice to condemn something that's wrong, I'm labelled as Dominating.
If I choose to ignore it and live my life, I'm labelled a Feeble. When I cry, I'm told to stand up and fight. When I rise to try, I'm asked to sit down quiet.
To a world that is constantly judging me, It's time to realize, I will never be the way you want me to be. But I will be the way I am meant to be.

Beneath the surface where shadows rest, The roots toil hard, they give their best. In quiet strength, they help things grow, Though recognition they don’t know.
Above, the branches stretch and gleam, Their leaves a symbol of a dream. They bask in light, they reach so high, While roots below work, shy and spry.
Just like the roots, some humans stay, In hidden roles, they shape the day. Their efforts guide the ones in view, Though they remain unseen, it’s true...
