Wellness with Jen
Hi, I am Jen, an oily lovin, fitness lovin, wellness lovin, life lovin momma and wife on a mission to guide others on their wellness journey. My own journey began as I entered adulthood and realized that the world had lost sight of true health and wellness. The world that we live in today is extremely busy, causing wellness to be the last thing on our minds. It is time to get back to a wellness mindset! “New Year, New You” doesn’t have to mean a new
diet or any unrealistic changes that are impossible to maintain. When deciding on where your wellness journey begins, write down your main goals for the new you, choose a base goal, and start there. Maybe your goal for 2021 is to lose weight, but the thought of starting a new way of eating in addition to an exercise program seems too overwhelming, and therefore you never get started striving to meet your goal. Why not start small? What feels least overwhelming to you? Maybe your first step is as small as cutting back to one soda per week, then one soda every two weeks or
once a month until you realize that you don’t need that soda anymore. Maybe your first step is taking one walk per week, which then turns into three walks per week or one walk with two classes at a local gym per week. Whatever you envision your “New Year, New You” journey to look like, you need to discover where you are at right now and start there! Remember, if you are tired of starting over, stop giving up!
