Since my previous letter, we've been blessed with delightful weather It brought me great joy to see so many of you relishing the Coronation festivities. I must say, the dedication displayed in the 'Best Dressed Holiday Home' competition was truly commendable A big round of applause goes to our winners Mr & Mrs Wilford who have earned themselves a well-deserved £50 voucher and bottle of bubbly, Congratulations! Your efforts truly paid off

Get ready for an exhilarating summer as we eagerly anticipate the arrival of the 'Famaland' Festival! From July 21 st until the end of the school summer holidays on September 2 nd , we have an actionpacked schedule planned for you Each week, you can expect a jam-packed program featuring mini versions of our beloved events such as Rock the Lakes, Colour Festival, Custard Pie Fight, Big Stars, and Dino World. It's the perfect opportunity to experience all our most popular events in one place. We sincerely hope that you'll be able to join us and partake in the endless fun and excitement.

I am proud to announce that the Aqua Park will be having a soft opening starting from the 1st of July , and it will be fully operational for the season from the 22nd of July . We are thrilled to offer this fantastic facility exclusively to our owners and guests. In addition, we would like to inform you that the Aqua Park operator from previous years will not be returning. Instead, we have decided to bring the operations in-house. The new Aqua Park will be conveniently located in the central facilities area, and only owners, their guests with a membership pass, or Away Resorts guests will have access to it. Please note that it will not be located in the Castle Lake area. This decision was made with your satisfaction in mind. By creating a more exclusive experience, we can ensure better control over who enters the park.

We will still be offering the 'Friends & Family' passes so you can share experiences and create even more lasting memories with your nearest and dearest Further information can be found in this newsletter. From now on, instead of sending newsletters quarterly, we'll be keeping in touch through Third Place Social. This way, we can keep you in the loop more efficiently and frequently, ensuring you always have the latest and greatest information We're excited about this update and looking forward to connect with you on a more regular basis!

Electric Scooters:

In the UK, most electric scooters are not yet permitted for use on public roads. The scooters that are allowed on public roads can only be driven if you have a (moped) driving licence. A minimum age of 16 applies

The use of an electric scooter by children is only allowed on private property Driving on public roads is prohibited.

Key points from the meeting on June 11th 2023

Children driving buggies on park, buggies with no lights & drivers using mobile phones:

All owners driving buggies must have a full driving licence, fully insured, and follow the rules of the highway code on park. Please see following page for more info.

Too many cars parking at holiday homes : We allow 2 cars per holiday home, overspill is in the main carpark.

Electric scooters not adhering to the speed limits/ riders not wearing head protection: All users must wear head protection and adhere to the park speed limit (Please see information to the left).

Friends and family passes:

We are delighted to continue with the Friends and Family passes this year. Please see T&Cs below:

- This offer will run from March 1st 2023 and will be reviewed seasonally

- A maximum of 4 Friends and Family Passes can be signed out at any one time free of charge.

- Friends and Family Passes can only be requested by the registered owner of the holiday home by visiting Owner Services with the friend/family member/s the passes are required for.

- Passes can be signed out for a maximum of 3 days at any one time.

- Friends and Family Passes allow pass holders entrance into the facilities and no other special circumstances will be considered.

To sign out Friend and Family passes, the registered owner who signs, must have a current in-date owner pass.

- In the instance of needing more passes, additional passes are available at a charge of £20 per pass.

- Those with Friend and Family Passes must be accompanied into the venue by the registered owner who signed for the passes.

- For use by friends and family only, not private rental guests.

- Away resorts hold the right to refuse passes to owners who misuse the system.

Air conditioning units:

Friendly reminder: Air conditioning units can no longer be installed in holiday homes. These units require a large amount of power, like the hot tubs we have on site. With air conditioning units on top of this, it would have too much of a strain on our electrical infrastructure, resulting in potential blackouts.

To ensure safety, please consult an approved contractor and seek approval from the general manager before conducting any work on your holiday home.

Dogs:

Please make sure you are not leaving your lovely dogs in the holiday home, especially in this hot weather. Good news for the pooches, we now have a doggy menu available, which includes ice cream for these summer days!

Insurance, gas & electric certificates:

Please ensure that all insurance documents are up to date and a copy of the schedule is sent through to our owner services team.

It is your responsibility that gas tests (annual tests) and electrical tests (every three years) are conducted and booked in before falling out of date.

Please eBook through ourselves or by one of our approved contractors and give a copy of the certificates to owner services.

Making Sure Golf Buggies Are Used Safely

There have been a number of concerns surrounding the use of buggies, and these have been steadily increasing over the past few years. Golf buggies seem to be becoming the preferred method of transport around the park.

It’s the latter that is the greatest concern, with owners allowing their children or their guests’ children to drive the golf buggies. Worryingly, often without any supervision. Despite trying to deal with this informally and by publicising our concerns in newsletters sent to all owners, the problem still exists. Therefore, we need to take action to minimise any risk of damage or worse, injury.

We have given much thought on how to best tackle this and still permit the use of buggies. Therefore, we have decided to implement the following.

• Anyone driving or otherwise in control of a buggy must possess a valid UK driving licence (not provisional). This is the same requirement in place for all of our team members at the park. This approach would ensure that no children use the golf buggy (our biggest concern) and demonstrates that the driver possess a recognised qualification to drive. We may require drivers to provide evidence of this if they appear to be underage or are driving poorly.

• All buggies must be insured and a copy of the insurance certificate provided to the park. We are concerned that some buggies may not be insured (certainly not with a child driving) and were there an accident, the driver or person responsible for the golf buggy will not be able to simply pay out, especially if the accident was serious.

• No buggies maybe driven on park if the driver is over the legal UK drink - drive limit for alcohol.

• Only one buggy per holiday home will be permitted.

• Renting buggies to other customers or guests is not permitted.
