Kesser Torah Graduates Inaugural Shiur

W

ith much Siyata d’Shamaya, Mesivta Kesser Torah graduated its first 12th-grade class of eighteen bochurim on June 7th. Families gathered together for a scrumptious seudah and meaningful speeches to mark the completion of four years of growth for the mesaymim. Students listened to speeches from Rabbi Avrohom Feldheim (Menahel), Rabbi Tzvi Mordechai Feldheim

(Rosh Mesivta), Rabbi Moshe Dovid Robinson (Principal), and Rabbi Mordechai Weissmann (Curriculum Coordinator). The speakers highlighted how the talmidim should see themselves as the “bechor” of the yeshiva and how they should never forget that the kol Torah emanating from the mesivta is a legacy they helped create. In addition to receiving their diplomas, each bochur was presented with a sefer and personalized messages from

their rebbeim from throughout their four years in mesivta. Additionally, two students- Rafi Rose and Moshe Shmuel Leder, addressed their classmates and expressed their appreciation for their rebbeim and hanhala. The evening concluded with a message from Rabbi Chaim Schwartz, proud father of a graduate and member of the Board of Directors, regarding the history of Kesser Torah and a charge to the talmidim to be repre-

sentatives of their mesivta for years to come. About a third of the bochurim will be part of an inaugural shiur of roughly twenty talmidim in Kesser Torah’s new Bais Medrash, under the leadership of Rav Nosson Newman, next year. The remaining two-thirds will be in yeshivos throughout Eretz Yisroel, Lakewood, and Monsey.

ecreational water users should exercise caution at three areas in Baltimore County due to potential contamination, officials say. Baltimore County officials have issued three alerts Monday around water quality in the area. Sanitary sewer overflows prompted water contact alerts at two locations: Parks Run and lower Beaver Dam Run in Cockeysville Big Gunpowder River downstream from the Loch Raven Dam The Baltimore County Environmental Health Services issues water contact alerts to let people know they should not drink stream water; they should avoid contact if they have cuts or wounds; and they should minimize hand-to-mouth contact if they are in the water. People should wash their

hands thoroughly before eating if in the area. A water quality advisory is also in effect for the freshwater portion of the Patapsco River. Officials say they issue this type of advisory when sewage contamination is not a factor but stormwater may produce contaminated conditions. The two water contact alerts and the water quality advisory are in effect until further notice
