Susan b. anthony was born in Massachusetts. She learned to read when she was three or four. She read in poor light. Then her right eye became crosseyed for the rest of her life.


When susan was 11, she asked her father to make a young woman the boss of his mill because susan could see the young woman knew more. but her father did not listen.


then her father lost his job! to help out, susan became a teacher when she was 19. She missed her family, but got used to it. susan was paid much less than the men. And she did not like it.


then in 1851, susan met elizabeth cady stanton and they started a newspaper about women's rights. And susan also became part of the underground railroad by owning a safe house for slaves escaping to the north.


For more than 50 years she worked for women's rights. she gave speeches, voted with 100 other women, and even got arrested!


Then Susan B. Anthony dies on March 13, 1906 when she was 86 years old. Then in 1920, women got to vote!!!!!


This Person is a changemaker because 1. she made changes for the future by fighting for womens right 2. she was persuasive because she persuaded people to fight for women's rights . 3.she persevereD because she fought for women's rights.

My Changemaker is connected to Elizabeth Cady Stanton because they both Fought for Women's rights to vote.
