Liberation Day Events

There will be a range of festivities marking 75 years since Jersey’s liberation, beginning with a photographic exhibition that will take place throughout the summer in Moignard Gardens. The Jersey Royal Company will open its gates at this free event where visitors can meet the farmers and learn about Jersey Royal potatoes. Visitors can pick a free sample, ride on a harvester, and take a pre-booked tour around the pack house.

Jersey Lavender – makes perfect Scents!

Jersey Lavender is one of the most charming, fragrant and picturesque attractions on the Island. A family-run farm located in St Brelade, our unique products are enjoyed by customers all over the world. Set in nine acres of fragrant lavender fields, soak up the sights and scents of nature as you stroll through the herb gardens, sunlit fields, countryside pathways and shady woods. Look for hidden secrets along the way as you and the children follow the ‘Discovery Trail’ – and don’t forget to feed the chickens and doves, who are always pleased to greet you!

From mid-May to late July the lavender is in bloom and makes for a spectacular sight. Jersey Lavender is a working farm, so in harvest season (9th June to 30th August) you will see the distillery in action. Catch one of the twice-daily talks at 11:30am and 3:00pm and learn about how we harvest and process the lavender to obtain the precious and pure essential oil which goes into our range of exceptional home and body products. During your visit, stop off at Sprigs Café, where we pride ourselves on the many fresh, local ingredients which go into our wide range of home-made foods. Enjoy lunches and afternoon teas or treat yourself to our delicious array of cakes, coffees and teas, while you relax and take in the views from the café or the veranda which overlooks the garden. You can also find that perfect gift of ‘Lavender Farm magic’ to take away with you from the full range of Jersey Lavender products and many other gift items in Sprigs Shop.
