The Remodeler of Merit Awards (ROMAs) honor our remodeler members for quality and value in remodeling projects that range from baths, kitchens, and additions to total-house remodels. You are judged by your professional remodeling peers from other markets on creativity in meeting the unique challenges of remodeling, and in successfully meeting the needs, desires, and budgets of their clients. Eligibility

2020 HOUSING FIRST MINNESOTA AWARDS • HOUSINGFIRSTMN.ORG/AWARDS
Each year, one builder, one remodeler, and one associate member of Housing First Minnesota earns these most prestigious awards that recognize associate engagement, trade partner satisfaction, and community service. Builder and Remodeler of the Year also includes customer satisfaction. Eligibility
Association Engagement – 600 Points Possible
Previous winners are ineligible for any of these awards for five (5) years from their win (i.e. if a company wins Builder of the Year, they are also not eligible for Remodeler and/ or Associate of the Year for that same time period). If a company won in 2019, that company would not be eligible again until 2024.
• Please indicate below which of the BIG 3 Events (Housing Day at the Capitol, Builders & Remodelers Show, The BIG Night) at least one of your employees have attended in the past year (50% of Association Engagement) Since Housing Day at the Capitol 2020 was canceled, all contestants will be awarded points as if they had attended.
Previous winners are ineligible for any of these awards for five (5) years from their win in case of a name change. Affiliated companies of a winning firm (within the past five years) are eligible as long as they are a current and independent (or separate) Housing First Minnesota member in good standing and have a different license number (if applicable) from the affiliated winning company.
1 Event – 100 Points 2 Events – 200 Points 3 Events – 300 Points • Employee(s) served on a Committee or Task Force in the past year (50% of Association engagement) – 300 Points Yes or no Trade Partner Evaluation – 600 Points Possible

evaluations are allowed.
July 10 - Entry Deadline (nominate or self-enter) July 17 - Once entries are submitted, entrants will receive emailed instructions to forward evaluation survey(s) to their Housing First Minnesota member partner and clients August 7 - Deadline to complete ratings by partnering members and/or clients
Evaluations/Scoring Nominees will be rated on the following components. Percentage in parenthesis indicates portion of total score. • Association Engagement (25% Builder & Remodeler / 33.33% Associate) • Trade Partner Evaluation (25% Builder & Remodeler / 33.33% Associate) • Customer Evaluation (25% Builder & Remodeler / NA Associate) • Community Service (12.5% Builder & Remodeler / 16.67% Associate) • Housing First Minnesota Foundation Engagement (12.5% Builder & Remodeler / 16.67% Associate)
HELPFUL TIP: It is in your best interest to get as many evaluations completed as possible by partners you feel would evaluate you as highly as possible. The number of completed surveys may exceed the number of evaluations allowed. The first 10 unique trade partner member company scores will be used. Only one evaluation allowed per company per nominee. If, for example, your company had 20 member scores received, the first 10 will be counted. If two scores were received by two different representatives from the same member company, the first score from that company would be used and the 2nd one discarded. If that is the case, then the next applicable evaluation would be used in tallying the total. Nominees will be supplied with a list of current Housing First Minnesota members. If an evaluating company is not a Housing First Minnesota member, their evaluation will be discarded, and the next applicable evaluation would be used.
