Call Waiting keeps your callers from reaching a busy signal and helps you avoid missing calls.

• A “beep” tone alerts you to an incoming call.

• To answer the waiting call and put your current call on hold, press the switchhook (the button that hangs up the telephone) for one second, or press the link or flash button on your phone.

• To alternate between calls at any time, press the switchhook for one second.

To Disable Call Waiting Before or During a Call:

• At the dial tone, press *70 on a push button phone or dial 1170 on a rotary phone.

• Wait for a second dial tone and dial the number you want to call.

• When you end the call, Call Waiting is restored.

Caller ID With Name

Allows the subscribing customer to see the name, phone number, date, and time of the calling party before answering the telephone. Special equipment is required to operate this calling feature. The name of the calling party may not appear on all calls.

Call Waiting ID

Identify the call waiting caller before you interrupt your current conversation.

Caller ID Blocking *67

Prevent your name and number from being displayed to people you call, with Per-Call or Per-Line Blocking. In some areas PerLine Blocking is only available to law enforcement and domestic violence intervention agencies.

To Use Per-Line Blocking:

• Automatically activated when you subscribe to the service.

• To disable line blocking on a per call basis, press *82 or dial 1182 on a rotary phone.

To Use Per-Call Blocking:

• Listen for the dial tone and press *67 or dial 1167 on a rotary phone.

• Listen to the second dial tone and place your call.

• When you hang up, Per-Call Blocking is deactivated.

Anonymous Call Rejection *77

Reject calls from callers who block their Caller ID information so their calls don’t even ring on your line.

• At the dial tone, press *77 or dial 1177 on a rotary phone.

• A tone or message will confirm that you have activated the feature.

To Deactivate Anonymous Call Rejection:

• At the dial tone, press *87 or dial 1187 on a rotary phone.

• A tone or message will confirm that you have deactivated the feature.

Three-Way Calling

Talk with two parties at the same time, so you can share information or make plans more easily.

• Call your first party.

• After they answer, press the switchhook (the button that hangs up the telephone) or link or flash button for one second, putting them on hold.

• At the dial tone, call the second party (for the pay-for-usage version, dial *71).

• After they answer, press the switchhook or link or flash button for one second to bring the first party into the call.

• If the call to the second party is not completed, press the switchhook or link or flash button twice to return to the first party.

• To remove either party from the call, have them hang up.

Call Forwarding

Send incoming calls to another number of your choice when you are away from home or can’t answer your calls.

• At the dial tone, press *72.

• After a four-second pause, a second tone sounds.
