WELCOME
MINNEAPOLIS 2022
June 13-15
Now in its 38th year, the FEW provides the global ethanol industry with cutting-edge content and unparalleled networking opportunities in a dynamic business-to-business environment. The FEW is the largest, longest-running ethanol conference in the world—and the only event powered by Ethanol Producer Magazine. From its inception, the mission of the event has remained constant: The FEW delivers timely presentations with a strong focus on commercial-scale ethanol production – from quality control and yield maximization to regulatory compliance and fiscal management. The FEW is also the ethanol industry’s premier forum for unveiling new technologies and research findings. The program extensively covers cellulosic ethanol while remaining committed to optimizing existing grain ethanol operations.
BIODIESEL & RENEWABLE DIESEL SUMMIT
The Biodiesel & Renewable Diesel Summit is a forum designed for biodiesel and renewable diesel producers to learn about cutting-edge process technologies, new techniques and equipment to optimize existing production, and efficiencies to save money while increasing throughput and fuel quality. Produced by Biodiesel Magazine, this world-class event features premium content from technology providers, equipment vendors, consultants, engineers and producers to advance discussion and foster an environment of collaboration and networking through engaging presentations, fruitful discussion and compelling exhibitions with one purpose, to further the biomass-based diesel sector beyond its current limitations. Co-located with the International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo, the Biodiesel & Renewable Diesel Summit conveniently harnesses the full potential of the integrated biofuels industries while providing laser-like focus on processing methods that are sure to yield tangible advantages to biomassbased diesel producers.
ETHANOL 101
Ethanol 101 will serve as a one-day in-depth survey of the history, science, production and market basics of the ethanol industry. Populated by some of the industry’s most recognized professionals, this seminar will serve not only to bring you or your new employee up to speed on “must know” information about the ethanol industry, but will also provide a forum to meet respected industry representatives and network with them and their fellow seminar attendees.
CARBON CAPTURE & STORAGE SUMMIT
Capturing and storing carbon dioxide in underground wells has the potential to become the most consequential technological deployment in the history of the broader biofuels industry. Deploying effective carbon capture and storage at biofuels plants will cement ethanol and biodiesel as the lowest carbon liquid fuels commercially available in the marketplace. The Carbon Capture & Storage Summit will offer attendees a comprehensive look at the economics of carbon capture and storage, the infrastructure required to make it possible and the financial and marketplace impacts to participating producers.

SAFFiRE is an acronym for Sustainable Aviation Fuel From Renewable Ethanol. Formed in 2022, SAFFiRE Renewables LLC will first pilot test and then commercialize proprietary tech nology to convert waste biomass like corn stover into renewable ethanol. Once converted to ethanol, alcohol-to-jet technology is utilized to upgrade the renewable ethanol into fully cer tified, sustainable aviation fuel that can be used in aircraft. SAFFiRE will license technology from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and D3MAX, LLC that, when com bined, will enable the production of low-cost, low-carbon renewable ethanol. Learn more at http://www.saffirerenewables.com
The D3MAX process employs patented, state-of-the-art technology to convert both fiveand six-carbon sugars in wet cake to cellulosic ethanol. Starch, cellulose, xylose and arabi nose are all converted to cellulosic ethanol with higher yields, lower energy consumption, and lower capital cost per gallon than other cellulosic ethanol producers. D3MAX also allows you to increase your corn grind by 20% or more, and increase corn oil recovery by 50%.
